Family Tree Explorer 9 - Genealogy software - compatible with the international GEDCOM format - compatible with Win 10, 8.1, 7

It’s a little hard for me to use, I have trouble finding where things are at. Not saying the program is not good, just not for me, I couldn’t get my Ancestry program to load on the program I got on my computer.

It took my husband three tries to completely download. The process was in German, even though he said English in the beginning. Between the two of us, we guessed what the messages said. The program is not very user friendly. He cant find the relationship pages to go from Children to Parents information as his previous program. Unfortunately, that program was lost when the computer crashed.

I would want the ability to save over pictures to it. However that cant be done.

On page 18 we find out that the data has to be entered in a specific way, rather than just enter data for persons if the data is entered befoe the family is set up it cannot be manipulated to set up a family tree because the sosa number cannot be overwritten, also do not seem able to remove the data and start again

Is way more comprehensive and detailed than what I wanted or need.

This may be a good piece of software, but you wont get a recommendation from me. There are absolutely no instructions to get started and what there is, is confusing. I am returning this to Amazon.

This product was easy to install, and there is good back up service, although in German.. However, downloading files from Ancestry.co.uk did not work for me and I have relegated the CD to the rubbish file.

I had a Family Tree Explorer 9 on my old computer. I did not have the disk to put on my new computer. I saved the files, but It did not transfer. disappointed. I spent months on the information and now I cant access it.
