> 3 dayThe only thing I can say about the installation process was that the instructions for removal of the PS5 outer cover was a little confusing but not hard to figure out. The rest of it was quite easy. Im satisfied with this product. No issues with performance or anything after 1 week of daily use.

Do you know any normally it would take a day download a game I downloaded the last of us, Hogwarts legacy, GTA five, and modern warfare two all in about a half a day, I’ll give this product a five star review!!!!

> 3 dayworks mint once installed. super easy to remove the drive and install the new one, the trick is the software update part. On the web page that the included pamphlet sends you to, there is a download option right at the top of the page for the current update. This is not the file. This file is about 300,000 kb, the file you want for the install is further down the page, nearly the bottom. The file size for this is about 800,000 kb. You also have to create a couple of folders and move the file to the folders in the included memory stick, using your own personal computer. You need to do this first before you try updating the files from the memory stick into the newly installed drive. The details of this are all included in the pamphlet and easy to follow. Once the format is righted on the stick, exactly as stated in the instructions, install is a breeze. The other pain is having to reinstall all of your game data disc by disc or from the download store as a digital file before you can install all of your saved game data from a memory stick or the cloud. Playstation really dropped the ball with the default memory of just 500 gb, especially with all these new games coming out and the gigantic worlds. Having installed this first before I ever bought or downloaded any games at all would have been the move.

> 3 dayI used this for my PS5, along with my heat sink and this is a purchase that I am so glad I made. Added so much space to my console. I have downloaded so many games and barely scratched the surface of the 2TB. If I was to fill it up by some miracle, I probably would buy another one but for now, I am satisfied with this.

> 3 dayEasily Installable. The only negative part is that the instructions dont give great direction on backing files up or how to restore them. I had to look this part up online. Also, the instruction for un-installing the hard drive, are for older model PS4s, which mine is not. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK - Compared to prices at a local shop such as Gamestop or Bestbuy, this product offers an amazing price. Not only are you getting the hard drive at a fraction of the price, you also get an 8 GB thumb drive and a good quality external hard drive chassis that allows you to transform your previous PS4 Hard drive into an external one for PC use. BACKING UP FILES - If you are looking to back up save files and are not worried about re-installing your games, make sure to export from each profile you want the save files from. These will need to be restored per profile. In my case, I backed up my main profile save files, but didnt realize it was only the main profile when attempting to restore the files. This required me to un-install the new hard drive, insert the old, back up the other profiles I cared about, and then re-install the new hard drive. Not too difficult, but time consuming. There is also an option to back EVERYTHING up, if you take the time to go through the file management options, and not just the save file back-up options. This may, as it would have in my case, taken more space than provided on the external thumb drive provided by the kit. FOR NEWER MODEL PS4s - The uninstall directions for the hard drive are for older models. On the newer models, the screw to remove the hard drive is in front, which then allows you to easily pull the hard drive out. The screw on mine required a drill to remove it, so be prepared.
