> 3 dayFantastic shave.

> 3 dayI did the sample pack with 5 - 10 blade packs of Shark, Dorco, Merkur, Derby and Feather. Less than half-way through it was obvious; for me, Feather is CLEARLY the best. Theyre the sharpest, most consistent and longest lasting. If you havent tried these yet, you owe it to yourself.

> 3 dayHave used the 5 pack and 10 pack (these blades) Feather blades, compared to KAI I prefer the Feather brand. I have a heavy beard and need to shave daily. With the Feather brand I can typically get between 5 to 10 shaves per blade. With this pack of 200 should be around 4 years of use. Blades should be a little cheaper overall to offer great value.

> 3 dayThese are the smoothest, sharpest blades I have used. I used a vintage Gillette Milord (the gold version of the Ranger Tech). It was one of the best shaves I have ever had. Zero irritation and the hairs were cut with ease. I will be purchasing more. My favorite blades followed by Polsilver and Gillette Nacet (to name a few).

> 3 dayClean close shave. These blades dont pull and get closer with fewer passes they also last longer. Worlds apart from Derby and Dorco ST 300 blades.

Greater than one weekAs a barber, whether my client is getting a traditional shave or a standard appointment - 9/10 there is a razor involved with my service. Most of the time its the usual beard lineup or general edge up, regardless of the situation theyve all led me down the path of razor testing, buying, trying, the whole 9 as far as going down the path of whats the sharpest, most consistent blade. I can tell you, bar none, this razor takes the cake. I just cant justify using a lesser edge on my customers despite the vast amounts of money that could be saved using a different brand. As a consumer, this is a no brainer because you can get multiple shaves out of the same razor. As a professional, being that we have to (or at least, supposed to) change the blades out for each client. That can prove to be pretty pricey for this razor so considering your P&Ls, maybe save this investment for when youre through a couple of price changes. All in all, again, this is by far the sharpest and most consistent blade on the market in its category.

> 3 dayWe use these blades and sell these blades at our shop. Hands down the best on the market. When using these blades for the first time, be careful as they are very sharp. Highly recommend.

22-11-2024I bought my first Merkur Model 38 Hd Classic Barber Pole Long Safety Razor a year ago March 9, 2011, and the Feather Hi-Stainless Double edged razor blades. There is no looking back for me now as I am absolutely hooked on this combo for the best shave ever. I bought a second Merkur Razor....just in case. To date I have used 22 blades for a year of shaving. The blades are extremely sharp and a light touch when shaving is mandatory. Some suggestions: I wash my face first with warm water and either Dr. Bronners Peppermint Pure Castile Peppermint Soap or Pears Soap. I have been using a shaving brush, mug and shaving soap for years. I have tried just about every brand out there and the Van Der Hagen Aloe Vera & Shea Butter is as good as any for 5 or 6 times the price. I get it at Wal-Mart for a $1.59. I rinse well after Im finished shaving with cold water, followed by good old fashion Witch Hazel. Rinse your razor in hot, hot water; shake it dry and then dip it in 90% rubbing alcohol to displace the water and to disinfect and sterilize the blade. It is my opinion that the fancy and expensive three and four blade plastic body razor blades hold bacteria because they cant be rinsed properly and this contributes to razor burn and skin irritations. I give both the razor and the blades a solid five.
