I’m very impressed with this hood and surprised I don’t see more welders using it. Instead of butchering your Pipeliner with the Sellstrom flip front adapter or using the giant and heavy original Tiger Hood, try this one out. Sure it might not be as cool looking as the Pipeliner, but having a quality lightweight flip front hood is priceless. It’s a little flimsy feeling, but if it wasn’t then it would be a lot heavier. The flip front movement is very smooth unlike a lot of others I’ve used which have stiff springs. Also, because the flip front is flush with the hood (instead of sticking out far like others) your eyes are closer to what you’re welding.

Great hood, light weight and durable. Drop it 4 stories high and it’s still good as new. Tbh i prefer this flip hood more than the automatic ones
