FIFA Soccer 11 - Playstation 3

Excellent

Ive been playing EAs version of FIFA for about 5 years now and each time it gets better and better. True the previous title was flawed compared to the one before that, but this one took the best of both worlds. The updates are dead accurate in transfer season, the gameplay is very very realistic. Before, tricks were very easy to do, as in the real world, in this game they are not unless you have a great dribbler such as Messi. The penalties are very interesting, the only flaw I find. It was better before, but it certainly needs some getting used to on this title. The crowd and the announcers always make me laugh and are a great addition though as always, they need more things to say, after a while, they get repetitive.

EAs FIFA franchise has improved dramatically over the last three years, and it is always an anticipated release for me. Ive read many of the glowing Amazon reviews, and its hard to argue against a lot of the features. I honestly cant give this a negative review but I would like to add that, in their quest for realism, EA may have gone a little too far. The game is now frustrating in many ways. Ping Pong passing is gone--and thats good--but it seems that the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction. Often the simplest of unchallenged passes go awry. Ball physics seem inconsistent: a light tap for a short through ball will send the ball 30 yards downfield with pace, and its near impossible to lob a short pass over a defender. Defenders are incredibly aggressive. The 360-degree jostling results in a lot of collisions and players stumbling over one another with ridiculous recovery times. You find yourself yelling get up! after two of your own men run into each other, and then take ages to recover. I would disagree with anyone who says the player AI is improved. Your CPU opponent can do skill moves, but your CPU teammates are still pretty clueless.

Still my favorite.

I AM A PES FAN BUT ALL MY FRIENDS SWITCH TO FIFA BECAUSE OF THE GAMEPLAY AND ITS ONLINE PLAY IS BETTER THAN PES SO THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT IT, IT IS COOL BUT WHAT I DIDNT LIKE IS THAT IT IS SUPER HARD TO MAKE TRICKS IN ORDER TO PASS A DEFENDER! WHEN YOU RUN WITH THE BALL DEFENDERS CATCH YOU EASILY EVEN IF YOU ARE CRISTIANO RONALDO AND PRESSING THE RUNNING BUTTON! I LIKE PES BETTER THAN THIS ONE I HAVENT PLAYED ANY OF THEM ON LINE BUT I GUESS ACCORDING TO MY FRIENDS COMMENTS THAT FIFA IS BETTER IN THAT AREA... IF YOU LIKE TO PLAY ONLINE BUY FIFA I DID BECAUSE I AM GOING TO THAT... IF YOU ARE JUST GOING TO HAVE FRIENDS OVER AND PLAY IN YOUR HOUSE BUY PES!

FIFA never got the playability right. The movements are so mechanic and bureaucratic that makes you bored very quickly. The midfield is so cluttered that youll have a hard time to get through it. In FIFA 11, the goalkeeper is much harder to beat. On the other hand, the keeper always leaves the goal towards the attacking player making it very easy to lobby him. Its kinda unrealistic to score a lot of goals lobbing the keeper every match. This game also has issues with freezing all the time. In most matches youll experience a 2-sec freeze at a random moment. Its really annoying.

The game is a bit difficult to get accustomed to if youre a newbie to the fifa series but otherwise its a good make.

what Citizen Kane is to movies and Winning Eleven 07 is to Konami,Fifa10 is to new generation Footies .Like movie sequels its inevitable not to compare Fifa10 to Fifa11.This year was cash cow for EA Canada apart from DLC they`d World Cup fifa and now Fifa11 based on same engine.

Overall, FIFA11 is the best soccer game in history, however, it has limited improvements against last years FIFA10 and still has a lot potential of getting better.

I bought this game from amazon.com, however; I bought this from a different seller than amazon with a great deal $22 :D I love the game since FIFA 1998. And I have been playing it ever since. Great game for Soccer Lovers. At 1st its hard to get used to the paste and the techniques but after a while youll get use to it;)
