I have just had cataract surgery on one eye and will do the other eye later. After my surgery I was told not to bend over to pick anything up. I ordered this device that same day and I have used it everyday. I am amazed at all the things it will pick such as a leaf or a piece of grass from my floor. My only wish is I could use it to pick up my dog’s bowl. But it is a great item to have and I’m well pleased with it.

I bought another one simular more sturdier for heavier objects I recommend this one for lighter weight objects only

After an accident I wasnt able to bend down and pick up items from the floor nor lower shelves. Ordered this picker upper and it has made a great improvement in my independence. Ive picked up egg shells from the floor and cans from a shelf. The only thing I am missing is a locking mechanism once an item has been grabbed. Due to old broken wrist bones my grip is weak and although the gripper can pick a heavier item up I dont have the strength in my hands to keep it closed long enough to pick the item all the way up.
