I got this for camping, and it became such a hit that there were other parties asking for the details. It is one piece, the penalty is a bit long, but for camping it is one of the small items I pack. This one piece allows it to be very strong, and I moved heavy wood without any bending. The tips are very sharp, and it is built with all the functions in mind. Push. Pull, hook, while your hand is in the closed loop handle. So, it will never slip from your hand. The only small improvement I made was to add pieces of reflective tape to make it easy to find when people leave it on the ground at dark (fire time). An easy to recommend fire poker

Works really well. Just need to insure you tighten the bolt or it will tend to loosen on you. Small pair of pliers do the trick. Its heavy and sturdy. Id recommend.

This fire poker is simple, functional and indestructible. Its basically a 7/16 solid steel rod with a welded hook. Not much to malfunction here. The 40 length is great for extra reach when tending larger fires. It weighs in at about 2 lbs. 4 oz. and is painted with a nice black/charcoal semi-gloss finish. This simple and durable poker design is exactly what I was l looking for. I give this a solid buy recommendation.

I have the 40 and its MUCH better than most of the other fire pokers Ive had. This is a solid 1 piece construction with thicker material than anything else Ive owned, which has always come in a set or with a fire pit. The length is great too, I have an indoor wood boiler with a firebox 38 deep, and this lets me reach all the way inside without scorching my hands! The wide handle gives you a lot of grip for shoving or pulling logs around too which is nice. Ill probably use this outside as well spring-fall with our outdoor fire pit, it expect it will last for decades.

This is a typical poker that is a single piece of wrought iron. At 40in this has a great length which is perfect for fire pits and larger fireplaces. It seems well made and as it says in the description several times sturdy.

There’s not much to say about this fire poker. It appears to be cast almost entirely of one piece of iron, with a barb welded on. For my purposes I’d have probably had better luck with it if it had been a straight spear, but some may find the hook useful for rolling logs. I’m using it slightly off-label for a backyard fire pit melting cans. The long reach is great to get into the fire and apply pressure to the cans to push them down into the molten pool without burning my hair, and the metal is great for not leaving trash and debris in the melting cup that normally happens with a wood poker stick. The only demerit for this piece is some inconsistent powdering. I suspect these defects will be a source of rust.

I didnt know what to expect but this tool is solidly built and will last years and years. Its heavy but will be sure to get the job done. It ships with little protective caps on the ends of the sharp bits and it may be a good idea to keep those on there when not in use to avoid any inadvertent contact that might lead to an injury. The handle is is large and easy to grip, itll also make it easy to hang it on whatever you have nearby when youre ready to store it.
