We had one of these for my daughter where it lit up underneath where the mobile part was, I was expecting the same with this one, I was disappointed that only the birds beak lit up and he can barely see it unless I place him up farther away from the center, so its not enough to keep his attention, besides I also really dont like how you barely need to touch the bird and it comes undone from the top, not very safe if you have a toddler near as well. My 4 yr old bumped it and the bird fell off nearly hitting the baby, needless to say I posted this on the yard sale site shortly after purchase.
