My mother had a pair of these scissors and they lasted her all her life. They then passed to me and were still brilliant. They have been abused and asked to cut things that they were not designed for but nothing stops them. The reason I know this is that I had to buy another pair as mine are so good they disappeared on to the farm and were last seen being used to cutup a tractor innertube(with ease I have to add). They are not cheap scissors but they will last a life time.

I bought these for dress making and theyre brilliant. I have always bought Fiskars as a named product and they cut material very well, Just make sure that nobody uses them on paper as they will loose their sharpness.
