Needed more instruction on how to disassemble and repair

UPDATE: we bought a second kit after learning from our mistakes the first time. However, the iPad is having the exact same touch sensitivity issues and it’s beyond frustrating. Installation was seamless and the screen worked well for 20-30 minutes. Then suddenly the touch is completely sporadic and nonresponsive. Now we’ve spent nearly as much as we would have to have it fixed right with nothing to show for it. Save your money and time- don’t get this kit! We had a really hard time putting this on even after watching multiple videos and thoroughly reading the instructions. Had to try multiple times and the screen now has issues… it senses touch that’s not there and doesn’t accurately respond to touch. Now that we understand the process we might buy it one more time and see if it works this time.

This was the third replacement digitizer I put on my unfortunate 5th gen iPad. After a couple of hours, three areas of adhesion around edge started lifting up, but I decided I could live with it. Now five months later, the digitizer has started ghosting - meaning that it behaves erratically like someone is randomly touching the screen. I can no longer use the iPad.

Overall a good part was able to remove the home button easily to replace with original Touch ID home button. Now we just need a better adhesive than what is supplied.

This was my second attempt to fix my cracked ipad screen. The first, more popular kit I tried, of a different brand with a name suggestive of eastern philosophy, didnt work right out of the box. This kit worked quite well - when it was new I would say it was 95% as good as the original screen in terms of response to touch, sensitivity, etc. However this kit came with almost no instructions, nor links to videos to follow. Prior experience together with other generic videos helped, but did not address a feature specific to this kit - along one side of the screen is a stiff ribbon cable that connects to the main plug inside, but it just didnt seem to fit anywhere when trying to close the case. I eventually got it tucked in, but it involved folding said ribbon, and that side of the screen never stuck down to the case as firmly as it should - the adhesive would let go and it kept popping loose. I believe that the eventual failure after about 3 weeks was due to this area being worked while handling the device, until it began to behave like the other brand I had tried, with a lot of crazy overreactions to gestures and lots of jumping around and flashing screens, zooms, and other annoying reactions that make it impossible to use the ipad as intended. I may try another one of these, but not until I can get more information on proper installation - specifically how to deal with that side connector that didnt want to fit easily inside the case. With a good instruction sheet, this could be a very nice kit! As it is, its ultimately a frustrating waste of money.

Oh my goodness! This screen replacement is amazing! I have purchased several different screens to try to fix my cracked screen and ended with a new cracked screen until I got this one. I was able to replace my screen successfully! Thank you for providing a reliable product.

Screen cracked spin installation. The top third of screen does not work

Love the screen and the way it was packaged. This was my 3rd screen last two arrived broken! Also like the touch, no finger prints. The adhesive sucked, I had to buy some other in order to get the screen down.

After installation, the new touch screen is defective. It’s like someone is touching one spot over and over. If keyboard is open the letter D gets hit continuously.

The glass is thicker than the original one it’s have good adhesive and all the tools good kit
