> 3 dayI have a 50 long and it works great but the water is always cloudy with this stuff and I rinse it well before I put it in my filter (I run 2 sponge filters).

> 3 dayNot safe for snails or most inverts. Does not say so on any site I have seen or the box, but ion exchange means salt is released as ammonia is captured. Works well but will kill your snails over time. Also you can recharge this by soaking in a heavy brine (saltwater) for 24 hrs. Rinse well before putting back in filter.

> 3 dayi have used this product for many years in alot of different tanks. about a year or so ago i decided to switch over to purigen because of the great reviews it was getting. the purigen did keep the water like glass and more importantly, held the ph real well which is essential in an african cichlid tank !! it can also be re- generated with common household bleach. the problem is the purigen is very fine and would escape from the mesh bags and end up all inside the filter and even in the tank !! what a mess !!!! stick with this, it does a good job without the problems !!!!
