> 3 dayUpgrading switch plates from contractor grade plates to a higher quality wall plate is something that most dont think of. Ive been doing a lot of DIYing in our condo and after a long and drawn out kitchen backsplash project I started replacing wall plates along the backsplash. I came across this line of Classic Architecture wall plates from Franklin Brass. This design is versatile with classic clean lines that compliment many types of decor. The wall plate is made out of a thick, durable and heavy material (in fact, you might be surprised by how heavy they are when you pick one up). In case youre wondering, they come with the screws you need to install them. Ive ordered a number of these wall plates in the Classic Architecture line for my home for different types of switches and outlets so I can recommend them to anyone looking to take the look of their home up a notch.

Greater than one weekThis item is not at all what I thought I was getting. It is cheap plastic and does not look good at all. The good news is that the screws that everyone keeps complaining about being too short or missing worked just fine for me. I am returning the switch plates because they are cheap.

> 3 dayDisappointed that a company named “Franklin Brass” sells plates made of plastic. Unless I missed it, there is no indication in the description of the plate’s material. I have purchased other excellent Franklin Brass products that were at least made of metal, if not brass. This plastic product, however, fails to meet expectations.
