In my opinion you just cant beat Freud. This bit is so much better than the craftsman bit I was using until it broke the other day. I wish the old bit had broken ages ago!

Cuts great....its a quality bit. If youre looking at the reviews, just buy it.

I should have listened to the other reviews. I was cutting slots with this blade to slide in 1/4 masonite shelving. The slots were too small - i had to taper the masonite to fit. (When i cut slots with a 1/4 dado blade on my table saw, for example - no issues.) I must say that this bit is very sharp and cuts very cleanly. Although theres not much in the way of sawdust removal from the slot..hope this helps.

Great bit for the money.

Knife edge of bit sheared off after first five seconds of trying to cut into clean pine stock. No staples or nails. No metal whatsoever. I bought The Freud bits expecting their reputation to be good. I won’t be as trusting in their products from here on out.

I put this bit in and it broke in less than 5 cutting 1/2. It just broke enough off to shorten the length of my bit. I tried it again later and it broke into 3 more pieces just touching the bit to the wood this time. I was unable to find one small piece for a photo. Unsure of how to contact the seller on here. My husband said it should had not broke like that way that we could had just gotten one with a fault in the metal, our cheap cheap china bits do not even do this. Very disappointed!

Double flutes for balance. Small size for faster cutting. Great setting up a jig and doing some cutting in lieu of a CNC machine.

I was able to complete the job i needed it for. But...I ran it at its recommend rpm and got alot of burning and the blade went dull fast or was very dull to start with. Felt like I got a bad since it was burning the wood from the time I started to use it. Freud bits are suppose to be nice and I plan to give them a second chance on another bit since this is the first freud bit I have purchased.

Execellent piece of tool. Good quality and packing it is the best packing rigid plexiglass, so you can storage in the original packing , no chances to get cut with the sharp edges. Will buy again.
