> 24 hourThis is a replacement. I already have a bunch of the hole saws and just havent had time to investigate inter-compatibility of hole saws and mandrels. If I had then I wouldnt have bought this replacement. The last one only lasted through 4.5 doors before bearings literally started popping out of it and it stopped retainng both hole saw and drill. I was able to finish the last door only by setting the drill in place carefully and relying on pressure to keep everything held together.

> 24 hourThe hole saw powered right thru the 2 thick walnut without the cutout sticking inside the blade. I have made thousands of items and am not easily impressed by tools. Good job Freud!

> 24 hourThe fit of the pilot drill in the mandrel allows way too much lateral play.

> 24 hourOutstanding, works great, even with my old saw parts/blades. Incredible invention. If you have a hole saw, add this to the collection. Will USN Ret.

> 24 hourThe drill bit that came with the hole saw mandrel broke the first time I used it...with the first minute! I am checking with Amazon for a free replacement. It should not break that quickly or easily. I think it was defective.

> 24 hourTheres a MAJOR design flaw in the provided adapter nuts included with the quick change. If youre using the quick change with Freud/Diablo hole saws that are meant for it, in other words the hole saw arbor nut is welded to the hole saw, these are a great tool to have and work great. HOWEVER, if you use the provide adapter nuts on older hole saws, if for any reason you need to reverse the drill (since there are no pins holding the hold saw in place) the adapter nut just simply unscrews leaving your hole saw stuck in place. Additionally, if you use a larger hole saw with the adapter nut, you MUST NOT release the drill trigger once you start drilling your pilot hole because the flywheel motion of the hole saw weight allows the hole saw to unscrew rapidly and fly off the adapter nut if you stop the drill, potentially CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. This flaw SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY FREUD by somehow adding locking pins to this system.

> 24 hourWell made and good value but only given 3 stars as mandrel adaptors did not fit my UK hole saws.
