FROGG TOGGS Womens Java Toadz 2.5 Ultra Light Waterproof Breathable Rain Jacket

Really disappointed it tore on the first weekend I used it camping. Otherwise it kept me dry.

So this jacket is super cute! I love the color. I would say it’s pretty true to size, I ordered the higher side of my measures as I plan to layer underneath it for backpacking trips. I love that the hood and waist can be cinched down to keep out those driving cloudbursts. The hood is plenty roomy with a Velcro stay kind of at the back of your head if you need to adjust it. I’ve had a chance to test it over several rainy days and it does keep me nice and dry. Things I don’t like: I’m not crazy about the Velcro along the zipper, it catches on everything and can make zipping it up quickly a chore. While I like that it’s not that plasticy sounding material where people will hear you coming, I would say their claims that it’s breathable are a huge stretch. I live in the PNW, so when I go for walks I take a rain jacket just in case. One particular day, it was not raining at all but I wore my jacket for the wind breaking aspects. When I went to take off the jacket when I got back home it felt damp, which I thought odd since it wasn’t raining. So I felt the jacket, and the dampness was condensation build up on the inside! Call me crazy, but isn’t that what a breathable jacket is supposed to help you avoid?! So I will keep using this one, but sadly continue my search for the perfect rain jacket.

Bought this for an upcoming camping trip but had the chance to try it out recently. I loved that it did not feel like a reusable shopping bag. I loved that it has pockets, an adjustable cord for the bottom of the jacket, velcro adjustable wrist closures and a hood large enough to accomodate a ball cap. It was a terrible storm but all parts of me covered by this jacket were 100% dry! It is thin and breathable. I didnt sweat in this jacket even though it is summer. I wasnt doing heavy labor, I just expected to feel as I have in other waterproof jackets- moist, uncomfortable and trapped. This did not happen with this Frog Toggs jacket. I usually wear an xxl top due to wide shoulders and was nervous about ordering the xl size in this jacket. It fits beautifully over clothing and still leaves plenty of shoulder room. I would order again!

Just, nope.. When I opened the package, the jacket had some weird brown stain right where the rear end is. So, my spidey senses are telling me that someone ordered this, got it, tried it on, sat down and shart on it, then sent it back and now I have it. I am so done with Amazon. Jfc.

The jacket is great. It was $30 cheaper than at Cabellas--for the same jacket!

This was purchased for my wife. The value for he money is excellent. Her only concern is the inside of he jacket. It has a plastic feel to it instead of fabric. Otherwise, she really likes it.

Lightweight but so nice in the rain! Bill on the hood keeps water off your face. Definitely would purchase again!
