Does not fit flush, about 1/3 of the metal charger piece will sit out of the PSP system. Be careful not to break your system plugging it in.

Dug out a old psp 1000 and couldn’t find the charging cable. This replacement cable works well and revives the machine and now my son is enjoy playing it everyday. So far so good Fits the psp 1000

If I kept it connected my psp would stay on, but it never charged it

I love that it came with 2 cables because I always end up losing one. The great thing about the psp and this cable is if your battery is dead or you don’t have one you can take it out and play the psp without it and just have the charger plugged in!
