I recently rearranged my office, but my printer had to be set farther away from my desk than the standard 6 USB cable would stretch. This cable is excellent! Love the durable braided design and plated connectors. Even though my printer does have a wireless function I seem to have better printing performance when using the direct USB connection, but now it seems to kick off print jobs even faster then the factory USB cable my printer came with. As a photographer, I have a pretty fair sized collection of scanners and printers. Because of the layout of my office, the printer cords that came with my printers are not always long enough to reach my computer. I ordered this to replace one of the shorter cables.

I am using this to connect my color scanner to my computer - as I need to be able to move this around to scan the printed sheets having the length of this cable is important, but also having the heavy duty protection that this cable has is also great as it can get pinched or abused - and I can tell this cable is very strong and will stand up to it. The quality of the cable seems very good and all the testing that I have done it has done well. I am expecting a long life out of this cable and appreciate the look of it much more than the beige cable it replaced.

I got this to use with my Silhouette Cameo that is across the room. The wireless is flaky and this solves that problem nicely. The cable is long and durable and seems to transfer at an appropriate speed. I dont have a way to test the speed, but it seems to work just as well as the short cable I use.

My 3D printers are 15 feet away from my desk computer in my shop.
