works 200 in fresh water. 50 feet in salt

Makes ice fishing so much fun and rediculously easier. Watch the fish stalk your jig live. So freaking cool. The setting take a bit to play with but watch a bunch of YouTube videos and youll dial it in.

Perspective mode is fantastic for spotting cribs and other cover, plus suspended fish over deeper water, but that requires adding a perspective mode mount. Down and forward view are great for seeing fish near the bottom or close to cover. Youll want to take some time to experiment with different settings, but youll definitely learn more about the waters you explore and the fish in them.

I liked the friendliness in the design and the speed of delivery.

everything ok

When tied to our larger boat in 30 of clear ocean water the transducer in traditional sonar mode reads 30 as does the instruments on board the big boat. The traditional sonar view also shows fish that come by. In the Panoptic mode the depth shows erratic depths that are double actual depths. That alone makes it totally unusable for me. The other negative review mentions it being useless in saltwater and perhaps that is the problem but its a total waste of money for me and thankfully Amazon has agreed to allow a return.
