> 3 dayI needed a replacement for my aging Garmin Edge 1000 and my Wahoo HR monitor and was looking around on Amazon and found this amazing bundle for $640 after taxes. The Garmin Edge 1030 plus on its own is priced more than that.

> 3 dayIve been using Garmin Edge computers for about 6 years. I owned the Edge 1000, Edge 1030, and now the Edge 1030 Plus. Ive logged hundreds of rides on those devices, and Ive used them with assorted speed sensors, cadence sensors, heart rate sensors, lights, cameras, electronic shifters, and cell phones. Ive also used them with Garmin Connect, Strava, Ride With GPS, and assorted other websites. After all that, here is my final opinion:

Greater than one weekIve had the 1030 for 3 years now. It is OK, in that it is good at the most basic of functions, but it is not intuitive and changing anything on it is a choir. However, the touch screen just started acting unresponsive and very slow one day. Some research shows Garmin knows about this issue and started a replacement program, but at a cost of $150.

> 3 dayI love the long lasting battery. I rode Ramrod (150 mile ride around Mt. Rainier - 10,000 feet of climbing) and still had 70% battery life when I got home. I was running a radar unit, phone, power meter and monitoring my battery level of the DI2. Works flawlessly - Garmin has great tech support to set up your garmin also!

> 3 dayThis is a great GPS, much better than my Edge 800. The display is much more visible than my 800, and battery life much longer. Those were the main reasons that I purchased it, so I was not disappointed. One problem Ive had though: I cant get the blue-tooth link to my phone to work. The GPS is supposed to be able to get weather info from my samsung Galaxy S10 via blue tooth. Tried and tried, but that does not work. Wish list item: I sometimes hike as well as bike, so I use the 1030+ as a hiking GPS too. It works great for that, however, the only profiles supported are bike-related ones (Road, MTB, etc.). I wish there walk/hike profiles too.

Greater than one weekOnly been using it for 3 weeks now but so far it’s far surpassed expectations. Got this as an upgrade for my older Garmin 810. The 810 was still working but power button stopped working and got tired of the extra steps to turn it on. The 1030 plus has a much nicer display, very responsive, easy to read and swipe through screens while riding, and pretty simple to transfer my existing edge 810 profile to the new device. Would wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow serious cyclists.

> 3 dayIt’s a really great product. It does the job and even more. The new rerouting option and pausing your route is great. Don’t mind the case it’s for the 1030 case but it fits the 1030 plus also.

> 3 dayDon’t expect that the user interface will be as easy as a smartphone. No, before watching a YouTube video you cannot use it. But you can track your hours long journey without suffering from Strava app is easy to crash on any Android phone.

> 3 dayIf you have used other Edge products you will have no problem setting up and using the 1030 plus.
