> 3 dayThis is a really nice bundle for a cyclist. However the heart rate monitor (Garmin dual) that comes with it will not connect to the Garmin connect app. You will have to use wahoo if you plan on tracking other events that are not cycling. If you want the full use of the Garmin connect app get a Garmin connect watch.

18-11-2024I bought this computer to replace my Garmin 800. I like that it connects via Bluetooth to my iPhone so that the activity transmits to Garmin Connect as soon as I’m done. The only thing I would like is for the forward and back arrows to be displayed all the time. Garmin does have a remote that does the same as the arrows but I’m running out of handlebar space. The 830 is a great computer. Lots of options and info from those options.

> 3 dayFirst thing is that I recognize a lot of people love this model. I don’t, its good, not great. I ride about 150 miles a week. I do about 75 on an E as a trainer and work out 75 miles on both a regular mountain and road bike. I like to explore and ride in small groups in new locations on and off road. Ok, why the four stars? The unit feels technologically antiquated and not user friendly.

> 3 dayThe mtb mount is too small for large diameter MTB handlebars. It fits further down the handle bars but I prefer the unit to be central.
