> 3 dayGood replacement for my Edge 800 that gave up on me after 10-12 years. Lots of selectable data fields to display. Some new ones that are supposed to help gauge your riding ability that seem a bit gimmicky to me but others may think otherwise. The screen is a little smaller than the 800 but I haven’t found that to be a problem. I’ve used it for one mountain ride, one trainer and 4 road rides and gave me all the data I needed. Hopefully this works as good and long (longer) than my 800 and doesn’t have the connectivity issues that I’ve had with my 925xt watch. As with all Garmin products the price is kind of high but I stuck with a Garmin product due to familiarity. So far so good. Delivery of the unit was actually a day quicker than promised so I definitely liked that.

> 3 dayI upgraded from the Garmin 810-what an improvement! Battery life is just about double the 810; I like the additional features, particularly the ability for wireless synch with my phone and it was easy to set up.

> 3 dayI was very excited to have a very nice cycling computer. The box came without the plastic seal. I bought the DEVICE only but the serial number is for an MTB bundle. I tried to pair it with my iPhone with the latest iOS through the Garmin Connect app with the latest software update theough Garmin Express. Even tried it on a different phone. Very frustrated. The device feels well built, the touch screen is very responsive. Connectivity issues is holding back this great piece of hardware. Update: talked to Garmin they said the device was previously registered to someone else.

> 3 dayMan I wanted to love this thing but it’s just not... there. Had a BOLT but Wahoo didn’t support “connected lights”. Had a nice set from Bontrager and wanted that functionality, so got this 830 for my birthday.

Greater than one weekEasy to set up with your preferences. Long battery life. Love the touch screen. I got this one for touring so the map features were essential. Its pricier than the 530 but worth it for touch screen and larger view.

> 3 dayAfter nearly killing my phone trying to use it as a bike computer with the Strava app, I researched dedicated GPS-capable bike computers, and narrowed it down to the Garmin 530 and this model. I opted for the 830 with the touch screen. Loads of features which Im still figuring out thanks to the 80 page owners manual, but setup was pretty simple and downloading routes from Strava or Ride With GPS is no problem.
