Garmin Forerunner 945 Replacement Band - Black

After years of wear and tear, I lost my screws. This gave me the exact straps that came with the original packaging.

The strap is comfortable. Its easy to make fine adjustments as your wrist changes size during the day. It matches the color and texture of the watch case. This makes my 3rd of these wrist straps over 5 years - that is, two straps lasted 5 years. The silicon loop that holds the loose end of the strap fails first, followed by the strap slots that engage the buckle. Oddly, I found that a small black rubber band, doubled up a couple times, works better than the original loop for holding the strap end - it doesnt slide away and let the end flop about, as the original does sometimes.

OEM band. Same one that came with the watch. But I got 2 band keepers when I purchased the watch so I assumed a new band would come with 2 as well. Nope. Only one. I broke the keeper before the band so it would be nice to have two. I dont see them on garmins website anymore. The knock offs on amazon dont last at all. Its just annoying. For how expensive and popular the watch is, it shouldnt be so hard to get a simple band keeper.

These are the original equipment. Garmin, at least in my experience, is notorious for bands that self-destruct. We actually thought our son cut my wifes band (different model) until we watched a band split perfectly intwain all on its own. Have had another band on my old 920xt do the same. About a year in and already my 945 has got a little crack in the band. Bought this item to replace it when it finally gives up the ghost.

The outside packaging was correct but inside it had the incorrect instructions, tools, and pins for the Forerunner 945. Looks like the box had been opened and some of the contents replaced with items from an older model watch.

Perfect OEM fit. Comes with two torx drivers and replacement screws for both side. Good thing to have if you dont have them.
