> 3 dayThis watch is stupid sweet. I wanted it for land nav and my Solar Instinct did not provide maps.

> 3 dayDon’t get me wrong It’s a very attractive watch BUT scratches easy (coated steel) and doesn’t update software (like weather) flawlessly. I had to restart my Iphone and Garmin watch twice over a span of one week to reconnect them. For me this is more of a vacation and special event fitness watch and not for daily use. It’s not titanium.

> 3 dayThis is my second garmin watch, I bought this to replace my Tactix Bravo. I loved the Tactix Bravo, but everything that the bravo was lacking has been upgraded in the delta. The UI is night and day different and more intuitive and efficient. The battery life is phenomenal, on smart watch mode it’ll last 21 days. GPS seems to connect faster than the bravo did. This is important to me as I use GPS functionality for EMS and rescue operations. The watch face is larger, which is a good thing for functionality but a bad thing if you like wearing your watch on the inside of your wrist like I do, I’ve had to start wearing it traditionally due to the size difference. I decided to not get the solar functioning, as it doesn’t actually recharge the watch, but makes the battery last longer. To me, that wasn’t worth the extra cost when a solar battery power bank is an option. I prefer this watch to my Apple Watch in almost every way, other than the App Store interface.

04-06-2025I wanted to get some use out of this before submitting my review. I’ve had this watch for a little over a year now. I do field surveying for a Telephone Company. Part of my job is locating and identifying utility poles and getting GPS coordinates for them. I’ve used a handled unit for years, but as I got older, trying to carry survey stakes, rangefinder, hammer, clipboard, water bottle and other items became too much even using a backpack.

> 3 dayDef a large watch, i had the Fenix 6X Sapphire and this feels bigger. This has a much more industrial look to it as well. One thing i do like on this one vs my 6X is the new Tactix has a nice black screen even when the backlight is on. On the 6X the backlight almost made the screen have this purplish haze which was awful, very good watch though.

> 3 dayThis watch keeps disconnecting with my phone, never had a Garmin do that before and I’ve owned a few of them. Did all the trouble shooting and it just keeps disconnecting, very disappointing

> 3 dayI’m in the army. I run. I lift. I do CrossFit. I swim. I ruck. I use this watch 7 days of the week. If you’re really into fitness this is a great watch. I love how I can track my progress, download training plans or custom runs, etc. This is also a great watch for land navigation which I do frequently. GPS features on this are really good.
