GEARWRENCH 1/2 Drive 6 Pt. Deep Impact Socket, 25mm - 84583N

Just what my husband needed for his job. Better then expected. Its hard to get the company to actually buy tools and now he has his own set and doesnt have to borrow from someone else.

My lugs nuts have been obliterated by the dealer servicing the car using an impact wrench on the OEM 2- piece nuts. On the 2012 Focus, most of these will no longer fit a 19mm socket. A special 19.5mm socket and once or twice a 20mm socket was needed. Where the cover was sheared off, a smaller socket was needed. This is the 20mm socket. This manufacturer does not offer a 19.5mm version, which was mostly used.

I havent used this socket yet but it appears to be good quality as most of Gearwrench is. I like the fact that it is made from chrome molybdenum instead of chrome vanadium which I believe is much better for impact sockets. This socket also has the radiused corners to put more torque on the flats of a nut instead of on the corners. Im sure it will perform just fine just like everything else I have made by Gearwrench.

It’s a 20mm deep socket. It works on all 20mm nuts and bolts and sometimes swollen 19mm piece of crap ford lug nuts.

Good quality for the price

Use it as a quicklane tech all day, everyday and hasnt given out on me.
