Greater than one weekIt is a Generac part, came with the wiring harness, should have been a piece of cake to install, but where it would have plugged in was taken by other wiring that we didnt know what was for - it wasnt the battery heater mat wiring, we knew what that was. The killer was couldnt figure out how to release the wires in the terminal block - there must be some trick to it that we couldnt figure out. Ended up with a kludge - tapping into the mystery power wire to power this oil filter heater. Waiting for cold weather to see if it works as advertised.

> 3 dayThe instructions were a bit confusing.....saying to turn off breakers, pull fuses and such, but, overall the heater was easy to put in......it seems to be working as advertised......

> 3 dayThe heater clicks on once the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit it is powered by the battery that is constantly charged by the battery charger. Its simple to plug into the existing port. The only problem is that it only fits Generac filters which are thinner and more expensive. I had th replace my filter to get it to work
