purchased 10 of these and did 5 pair of pants and some... pants turned out great, the and some, well there ok but there junk use around the house pants so i dont care. I over powered the dye and extended the soak time until i completed all of the pants in hot water

The black rit liquid dye dyes very well. My black slacks occasionally get a gray look and need to have a refreshness of black and the black dye does the trick. I like that I can use it in my washing machine.

CAROLYN BEAN....I FOUND IT DOES NOT DYE AS BLACK AS THE RITE DYE I HAVE PURCHASED IN THE PAST...HAVE TO USE 2 BOTTLES INSTEAD OF 1 FOR A LOAD OF BLACKS.

If I could send these back i would! Bought a whole pack and followed the directions to the T, not a stitch took to the dye. I tried both methods on the instructions and even tried dying the same items more than once. The dye would not even take to bleach damaged spots... Crap product and a waste of money for me.

So disappointed. I have used this brand for years with perfectly fine results. Even after excessive bottles of this stuff and long soaking times, these would not dye already dark clothing made from compatible materials. I dont know whats different this time, but I should be refunded for this fluke :(
