> 24 hourWhat Ive learned about this upgrade is that it makes such a big difference that I dont see how you can avoid it. 3D printers are essentially $3k Ultimakers or $200 Enders with little in between. So at the cheaper end, youre very likely going to have a small-geared, junk extruder, PTFE-lined hotend, and crappy bowden tube. Bowden itself is not bad.. the bowden extruders supplied with the factory printers are bad. To illustrate how much of a difference this thing made, it puts so much more pressure inside the hotend that I had to reduce temperatures 15 degrees or more in preliminary testing. It seems that with the extra horsepower, the filament is pushed through in a more viscous state, allowing the filament behind it to be heated quicker. The result is the higher pressure has resulted in lower printing temps for me, and what seems a shorter hot zone. Additionally, with the less slop in the gears drive, retraction settings are going to change to a lower value, dramatically. Now the retraction settings correlate to how much the filament itself moves back up, rather than the slip and slop of inferior gears. It hurt to add 50% of the cost to my cheap machine, but the machine is actually a worse value without it - not capable of larger nozzle sizes or good speed/quality. Im convinced Id be stuck at lower consistency in prints without it!

> 24 hourReally like this so far I love the lever instead of a spring. I just set mine to 1 click. I have done it at 2 clicks but didnt dont think it was needed on the filament Ive used so far.

> 24 hourBolted right up to my Voron. 2 prints needed for adapters. Printing one hour after I received it.

> 24 houri wish id known about this when i had initially gotten my 3d printer because id have swapped the extruder for this one before i set it up. This thing is a workhorse and ive yet to have a single problem!

> 24 hourI received a genuine bondtech LGX, and it works exactly as advertised. It fits in my Voron 2.4, as expected. It has a much more secure purchase on the filament than regular bondtech extruder gears do. It would take a heck of a lot of resistance to cause these gears to grind/strip filament. I am very happy with this unit.

> 24 hourExceeded my expectations. Instant increase in filament control and retraction. No more stringing! Love the preset adjustments. Great customer service!

> 24 hourI’m using this extruded together with a mosquito hotend on my custom Voron 2.4. I cannot be more content with how reliable and robust this extruded is. I originally ran my Voron using the Afterburner / Phaetus hotend which had ‘acceptable’ performance at best. Having used BMG-M’s before I decided to covert my setup to the LGX and instantly saw superior performance. Bondtech and Slice Engineering is a match made in 3D printing heaven.
