Ink is just too expensive. I have to replace printer.

may be it was me but the color ink only lasted 2 weeks and I didnt print any high color items and the black lasted 6 weeks. My question- is less ink going into these cartridges to keep the price down? Other wise I do love the cartridges. The images come out very clear and crisp. I now have to order more.
