Gerber Baby Snacks Puffs, Sweet Potato, 1.48 Ounce (Pack of 6)

Good price for the sweet potato price, others were far more expensive than the store. Product packaged and tasted as expected.

These are great snacks for when just introducing food. They devolve very quickly so even though it may seem scary, I imagine if any baby above the recommended age would have ever truly choked these would have been immediately pulled off the shelf. So I do feel safe giving them to my grands. Of course, any thing you give a baby is going to be slightly messy. These aren’t as bad as most as far as messiness. However, my grands only enjoyed them for a very short period of time. I ordered these in bulk to make sure I was stocked, and before I got through by two cases, they were no longer interested. They are now 9 months and prefer The Gerber crunches over these. In fact, I can’t get them to eat these at all anymore. I’m not sure if it is because these are mostly sweet flavors compared to Crunchies more salty type flavor or if it’s the size difference. Either way, these were great for all of 2 months and then they wanted nothing to do with them. I’ll donate the extra case I ordered and move on to crunches from here on out.

Nothing else to say except these are like crack for babies. All my babies have been obsessed.

These are marketed as sweet potato puffs, but sweet potatoes dont show up in the ingredients until number seven, and even then its called sweet potato flavor and theres less than 1% of it. The first ingredient is rice flour and the fourth ingredient is sugar. Youre much better off with just regular or off-brand Cheerios, where you know what youre getting (oats). And the off brand that I use has only six ingredients with no sugar.

When my baby got too big to eat mashed sweet potato--and didnt have teeth to eat it otherwise--I started giving her these. She loved the taste and the texture was crunchy enough to soothe her teething gums while still being soft enough to dissolve easily in her mouth. Theyre also a really great finger food. I put some in her tray and shell eat as many as she wants and drop the rest on the floor, which we pick up and put in the bird feeder. Incidentally, the birds enjoy them too :)
