21-11-2024Beautiful monitor, small for a gaming monitor but a huge upgrade from my laptop. Used with a custom pc build. Very happy with it so far (~1 month).

> 3 daythe good- very clear image, the colors are so good and dont have color bleed, very bright, fix some image details and voila, basically as it comes from the factory it is almost perfect, I am using it for a xbox one x in 1440p 120hz and in a pc 1440p 165hz gtx1070.

> 3 dayOn the surface it seems like a great monitor with great features for the price point. However, one issue that is really annoying me is the ghosting/smearing. I managed to minimize it as much as I could in the settings, but its still somewhat noticeable even just scrolling through webpages. Other than that Ive had no issues (yet). Im hoping it might just be my graphics card as Im using a Radeon rx 470 gpu at the moment while Im waiting to be able to get my hands on one of the new nvidia gpus that just came out or one of the amd gpus that are coming soon. Ill try to remember to come back to this review once I do get a better gpu to either give more stars or take more away. Edit: In the end Ive decided to just go ahead and return this monitor as I just wasnt happy with it in favor of getting a better one. It could just be my gpu, but even attempting to run it at 60hz wasnt getting me anywhere, and I didnt even test it much on any video games. Im no where close to being an expert on monitors, so maybe its my fault but I cant seem to solve the ghosting issues Im having with it, even putting the overdrive to quality didnt help. I just dont have the patience for it is the exact reason why I have decided to return it.

> 3 dayI love everything about the monitor, but there are multiple dead pixels, one being right in the middle... so perfectly placed right dead center. It is very annoying.

> 3 daySo far I’m really loving it! I haven’t gone through all of the settings, but I’m really impressed with all of the options Gigabyte has implemented. The picture is very crisp, and there is a noticeable difference even when you’re outputting 1080p to this monitor. Love the curve as well. The mechanism which allows the monitor to slide up and down is also well done, feels sturdy. Gigabyte also supplied all of the cords you could ever need, including two HDMIs. From my engineering standpoint, I give this item 9.5/10. You can tell they had an intense attention to detail and craftsmanship. Only thing I noticed that I didn’t like, was that when the screen is black, some parts of the screen are brighter than others, but it’s not noticeable in any other situation. Overall great product for the price.

Greater than one weekSo the reason this gets not a 5 is cause of the auto brightness feature that comes out of the box. This cant be changed until you download the latest driver for the monitor from gigabyte and after that it fixes itself. Also g-sync does work but like I said mine needed to be updated before that. For the value I believe this is one amazing monitor but gigabyte has already made a better monitor thats now at 170hz and is the same for better picture performance. So go and check that one out, instead of this older model.
