> 3 dayI got this for $100 off (280$) during black friday-cyber monday deals. I was kind of sad because the stand doesnt allow a lot of adjustment like my old one did, but not a big problem. Also, I had a 32 inch before, so going down to 27 was a slight mistake because it feels a bit less immersive as I was used to bigger. I had a curved 120hz before. upgraded to this and I can feel and see the difference in the FPS game Valorant. I was planning this monitor for a new pc build with the 6800xt and 5900 ryzen processor but so far on my budget 1920 x 1080 pc I can still see the upgrade. Which of course this makes sense, my old one had lower refresh rate and was 1920 x 1080.

Greater than one weekOn the surface it seems like a great monitor with great features for the price point. However, one issue that is really annoying me is the ghosting/smearing. I managed to minimize it as much as I could in the settings, but its still somewhat noticeable even just scrolling through webpages. Other than that Ive had no issues (yet). Im hoping it might just be my graphics card as Im using a Radeon rx 470 gpu at the moment while Im waiting to be able to get my hands on one of the new nvidia gpus that just came out or one of the amd gpus that are coming soon. Ill try to remember to come back to this review once I do get a better gpu to either give more stars or take more away. Edit: In the end Ive decided to just go ahead and return this monitor as I just wasnt happy with it in favor of getting a better one. It could just be my gpu, but even attempting to run it at 60hz wasnt getting me anywhere, and I didnt even test it much on any video games. Im no where close to being an expert on monitors, so maybe its my fault but I cant seem to solve the ghosting issues Im having with it, even putting the overdrive to quality didnt help. I just dont have the patience for it is the exact reason why I have decided to return it.

> 3 dayI was really looking forward to this monitor as it was going to be my first 1440p experience until I realized that this monitor smears a so much whenever something moves medium to fast speeds on screen. The colors are amazing and the screen is very sharp though! This ghosting/smearing problem may not bother you but it is very noticeable to me.

> 3 dayGood value for the money really. Picture quality isn’t the sharpest for watching video but looks great for gaming. Overall good value for the money 1440p 165hz for this price is just amazing. Also really like the curve

21-11-2024I dont write a lot of reviews but this one is to help people. The biggest most important problem. THIS SCREEN WILL BURN IN. I bought this monitor as a replacement in a pinch. Price was right and it was the same size. I swapped my bad monitor out with this one made a few adjustments and was good to go. I have been using the same Microsoft background for a decade. Never had a problem. After about 2 weeks I was in Photoshop and I noticed my desktop background in PS. I thought for some reason PS had some translucent option enabled or something. No I noticed on every application. I managed to get most of the burn it to go away using a pixel stimulator on YouTube. I changed desktops to something very dark. Then days later I notice the same issue with some TEXT documents that have been on my desktop for years. The white documents had burned in. Again I attempted the fix as best I can. I have had to install various programs to keep the monitor from burning in as well as swapped all cables. I currently have a program that makes my desktop icons disappear in 20 seconds, and a program that forces a pixel stimulation for 2 seconds every few hours. I finally got ahold of RMA and they said they would replace the monitor but this should not have happened on such a modern day monitor. I have a monitor that is 15 years old that has never experience burn in. Also. The power management for the monitor is borked. When you switch inputs the monitor is considered disconnected. So if you have multiple monitors all your icon shift everywhere as it thinks the monitor is not there. This also occurs during a power shut down with a time out. When the monitor comes back on. All your icons might shift everywhere. For the price monitors now. spend a little more. I know that 165hz sounds tempting as the competition is 144hz, but just stick to a better quality monitor at 144hz. You will have few problems.

> 3 daySo far I’m really loving it! I haven’t gone through all of the settings, but I’m really impressed with all of the options Gigabyte has implemented. The picture is very crisp, and there is a noticeable difference even when you’re outputting 1080p to this monitor. Love the curve as well. The mechanism which allows the monitor to slide up and down is also well done, feels sturdy. Gigabyte also supplied all of the cords you could ever need, including two HDMIs. From my engineering standpoint, I give this item 9.5/10. You can tell they had an intense attention to detail and craftsmanship. Only thing I noticed that I didn’t like, was that when the screen is black, some parts of the screen are brighter than others, but it’s not noticeable in any other situation. Overall great product for the price.

> 3 dayThis is a really nice monitor. I cant be your only review you look at since Ive only had a 21.5 60hz monitor before, but I love this. Its only my first day, but if something changes I will make sure to tell you. First off, the one con I have so far. Ghosting. The ghosting on this monitor is very noticeable if your dragging your cursor over discord or a black screen etc. To me, this isnt much of a problem, as Im mostly just gaming and doing some light video editing. For others doing heavy video-editing, I dont know. Imo, the pro outweigh the cons by a mile. The ghosting is not noticeable when youre gaming, as least for me. I play a lot of Rainbow Six Siege and I had no problems. The 2k, 165hz, 1ms response time is great. The curve is very immersive and nice to have. Its so easy to put this together, it took me a while to figure out how to plug all the cables in, but this is coming from a guy who has never had a gaming monitor. Also, to address backlight-bleeding. Maybe I just cant see it, but I have not had ANY problems with it whatsoever. I wouldnt mind even if there was some as I dont play many dark games, but after doing a couple backlight bleeding tests I really didnt see anything. Out of the box this thing is very bright, but its so easy to turn the brightness down in the settings. The colors are VERY vibrant and a bit on the warmer side. I found no dead and/or stuck pixels after a test. I love this monitor and cant wait to pair it up with the PC once I get all the parts I need to build it. I definitely recommend this monitor. I will get pictures up of this monitor as soon as my new phone gets here as my old one broke. Edit: After another Back-light bleed test there was a little bit of bleed in the bottom left corner but I dont mind.
