> 3 dayThese helmets are really great. Just be aware the light aqua one had a HOT PINK chin buckle not pictured. Kind of looks ridiculous if youre an older woman. I returned it for a better color.

06-06-2025Bought this to replace an older version of the same model. Unfortunately the addition of the MIPS liner substantially changes the fit and coverage. The helmet now sits on top of her head not around it. Returning it. We like Giro helmets and we own several different ones. Sadly the changes to this model makes it not a good mountain bike helmet. MIPS is a great idea but not if it makes the helmet perch on top of your head . The purpose of a helmet is to protect your whole head. Not just the top of it.
