> 24 hourArrived on time and as described and in good packaging. Easy to setup and took approx. 20min. Cable was long enough for where i installed the camera and power outlet. I like the heavier weight so i can set it on a shelf without falling over. Camera view is clear and zoom in feature is great. It has a wide angle. Easy App use on my Android phone. Not sure if i want to pay for the cloud storage backup after 30 day trial as i do not have the need to save recording at this time. So far, great product!

> 24 hourI use these cameras for my daycare to monitor nap areas. They are wonderful because they alert me when there is unexpected sound or motion. If the power goes out there seems to be some issues and I kind of have to fuss around with them to get them working again. Also, there are two apps to use with these-google home and nest. I prefer nest because when I open the app I can see both cameras right away on one screen. The google home app requires me to open each camera individually. Both apps are a bit slow opening and connecting.

> 24 hourAfter considerable research and trial-and-error, I finally determined Nest doesnt play well with my preferred Firefox web browser, even though Nest support says it is compatible. I made sure Im running the latest version of Firefox but found that switching to Chrome or Internet Explorer (and their invasive user tracking and ads) alleviates the playback issues. So, I can either use IE and put up with Microsoft watching my webcam, or use Google and hope my video history doesnt wind up in their cloud somewhere so I can use Nest as intended. Or, just drop Nest and purchase a security system with local storage ..... Disappointed in my second nest cam. The first cam worked flawlessly - immediate alerts, and video history on demand. My second cam hasnt been so reliable. After a few days of use it still captures video, and you can see the history in the (tiny) thumbnail view but it will not load full screen (I dont have this issue with the original cam - it continues to work as expected). I contacted Nest support and was told to disconnect and re-connect the cam to my wifi network (odd, since the history is stored on their cloud and I can view it in the thumbnail but cant view full-screen - how is reconnecting to my wifi going to resolve that???) So, unhappy with the response and the monthly fee. I plan to disconnect Nest, return the latest cam and purchase something more reliable. So much for the cloud...

> 24 hourThis is a very well made, and incredibly easy device to set up. The interface of the app is very intuitive as well. The only down sides are the resolution on night vision, and the clarity of the zoom feature. The clarity is OK, dont get me wrong. But it is literally just OK. I Love this product, but wish the imaging was just a little bit better.

> 24 hourThis is the second one I get for home, good quality image and the BEST app is good. At night image is not as sharp as during the day but its like that on all cameras. If you want basic notifications is free, if you want all functionalities is $6.- per month but even on basic is a good product. It can work as a baby monitor bad thing is that app does not work on back mode and needs to be open all the time. Voice communication has a slight delay but not a big deal.

> 24 hourThis camera wasnt even under consideration in the past due to the subscription based cloud storage but bought it due to the new 3 hours of history that was advertised. Come to find out this is only movement triggered snapshots and no video. Even worse, snapshots are very low resolution and can only be viewed in the app in portrait mode with both sides cutoff. So what you end up with is grainy picture with a very narrow field of view which is basically useless. I mean really??? They can offer unlimited history for free and it would still be useless.. Granted live streaming is nice but thats not why I bought this camera. This is like those inkjet printer deals where you pay for the printer then have to shell out $$$ on ink. At least with inkjets you can use generic ink but with Nest you have no options. I have no complaints about the hardware but subscription and useless free timeline history kills the deal for me. I have since sold this camera and now trying out Canary which seems promising so far. Canary recently increased the free cloud storage from 12 hours to 24 hours and now offers unlimited downloads of actual videos clips unlike useless stills on Nest.

> 24 hourOur entire house is monitored by NEST products, but my ongoing issue with NEST is the monthly “Nest Aware” fee, that allows more video options/functions (ie wanting to look back 10-30days, versus the max of 5hrs if you don’t pay a monthly fee). For the price you pay for a their quality products, they should offer a bit more to the customer. (Reasoning for 4 Star Rating) Besides that ALL their products are built very well! And the setups/app is extremely user friendly!

> 24 hourI bought my Nest Cam with the intention of watching over my house while Im away at work, and receiving smart notifications for anything out of the ordinary. After 6 months of use, I cant recommend it for anything more than a pet or nanny monitor. It is unreliable as a security device and fairly useless unless you pay a monthly subscription for video history. Even with the subscription, I cant fully recommend it. Initially I ran into issues with it connecting to my wifi (even though I have a brand new modem and router). Once it finally connected and seemed to work, it would only send my phone push notifications for maybe one out of three movement or noise alerts. I dont have some obscure phone OS or anything--just the latest iPhone with the most recent iOS update. After calling tech support multiple times, I was redirected to a private Dropcam website (seriously) to modify my settings (since the Nest Cam site is still worse than the years old Dropcam site that theyve deprecated), and eventually was able to get the push notifications to work correctly. Regarding push notifications... they dont tell you much, and there are a lot of false positives. Initially youll get short video clips of what caused the notification, but little do you know that those video clips are tied to the paid subscription service. Once your free month runs out (and conveniently, your return window ends) you will not get these video clips anymore. All you get is a notification that something happened, and a chance to load the extremely slow app and watch the live feed after the fact. Did a cloud pass in front of the sun and cast a shadow in your living room? Better send a notification. Did a gust of wind cause a slight noise? Time for a notification. Did your front lights go on because the sun set? Also time for a notification. There is nothing smart about these notifications. Literally just a per pixel difference calculation. Want to specify zones within the cameras field of view? Thatll cost extra. Furthermore, these notifications are tied to half-hour boundaries. If you get one, you wont get another for at least another half hour. Thats not configurable. So if you get a false positive notification, you better hope someone isnt breaking into your house in the next half hour, because youll never know. Definitely not a security device. The app (at least on iOS) is painfully slow to connect to your feed and often disconnects you. You cant view history unless you pay a monthly subscription, and theres no way to setup your own service that stores the data if you have the technical know-how to do so. Its a completely closed system. Unfortunately, I bought into the whole Nest home automation hype and also got a thermostat and battery drainer (smoke detector). Youd think all these devices would work well together because theyre made by the same company, but they do not at all. The home/away features of the thermostat do not synchronize correctly with the camera. Sometimes the Nest system will know Im home but the camera will stay turned on, or vice versa. Sometimes Ill set my home to Away and my camera wont enable. The best example I can give is that one time my Nest Protects battery started to die (after only three weeks!), so it started to beep every minute or so with a dead battery chime. The Nest product line is so unaware of itself that the camera sent me alarm notifications of noise alerts for all the beeps... even though it was another Nest product that was making the noise! The latest update is what prompted me to finally write this review. The promise of a phone-location-based feature for enabling/disabling your camera. Come home and the system automatically detects you and turns off the camera. Sounds awesome, right? Yeah, like everything else, just doesnt work reliably. All I wanted was what was advertised. Sounds great in theory, but it just doesnt work. Dont buy into the hype. I bought it based on rave reviews, but am disappoint. If all you want is the ability to look at your cat once a day, go for it.

> 24 hourI added this camera to my Google Nest ecosystem. It was super easy to add and install. So far it has been a great add on to my Google Hello, Guard and Home hubs. A bit on the pricey side but to stay in the same ecosystem sometimes you have to pay more.

> 24 hourGot to say these cameras are great I have 5 dlinks that dont work half the time they keep going off line and a night mare to install the nest cameras were a snap to install they are no more than the other top of the line cameras Im going to throw them away o if you go to dlink support you get someone that cant speak English and I know more about there cameras than they did.
