I was impressed by the set I got. The 20 pc package comes out to $0.94 apiece. Thats a bargain if they do the job and these look to me to be very good quality nylon hangers. Ive bought brackets like these before that were at least 3X the price. Virtually identical (except for color). Same screw holes and color matched screws. These make building a railing easy and sturdy. And these look to have deeper pockets for the 2x4s so they should work great. The material is a hard nylon. I used a lot of nylon in various designs and its the perfect material for this application. They will outlast me.

A nice simple way to spruce up some 2x4 railing joints. they install very easy and look great. They seem pretty solid, no splitting or cracking on the ones i have used thus far, i think they will have a pretty long life, although im a bit curious to see if they grey a bit with sunlight and age.

Im sprucing up my deck by replacing the generic hand rails. Its a big diy project, and seeing these gave me the confidence to tackle the task. These are strong, quality brackets. They are Hulk strong. And they came with all the screws. If you are also tackling a stretch project like I am, these are a great item. You dont have to be perfect with your cuts, these give you a bit of wiggle room. And it makes deck building feel like Legos.

I was impressed by the quality of the included coating screws, which are rust-resistant and provide a secure hold for the railing. The black color of the brackets gives a sleek and modern look to my deck, and I appreciate that they blend seamlessly with the rest of my outdoor decor. Overall, I highly recommend these Goovilla Deck Railing Bracket Connectors to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-install solution for their deck or stair railing needs. They have exceeded my expectations and made my deck a safer and more enjoyable space to relax and entertain.

I am about to start on an outdoor porch railing for our post to bring the porch up to code. These connectors are well sized (2x4 fits perfectly!). Once screwed into the railing ends, the screw holes are at an angle which allows the rail to be attached to the post. It is going to take some time and careful measuring to this project. Each seems to be well made with no sharp edges or burrs.

Worked great for a redo on the railing. Made nice and heavy. I had to trim part of the bracket for the T-rail on top but it came out great . Would definitely recommend.

The Deck Railing Bracket Connectors are a nice product for anyone who is looking for a simple and reliable way to attach railing to their deck. One of the things that I appreciate most about these connectors is the high-quality nylon material that they are made of. This material is strong and durable, ensuring that the connectors will last for years of use. The connectors are also incredibly easy to use, making the installation process a breeze. Simply attach them to the 2x4 inch wood beams, and youre ready to go. This convenience is especially appreciated for those who are not particularly handy or experienced with DIY projects. Another great feature of these connectors is that they are specifically designed to fit 2x4 inch wood beams. This means that they are versatile and can be used with a wide range of deck railing styles and designs.

As you can see in the photos, these will work with any size 2x lumber (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc.). I chose to go with a 2x6 on the bottom for added support and because visually, I think having the additional mass on the bottom is more appealing. The top 2x4 is supposed to support the top rail and prevent it from sagging, but theres one small problem. The bracket is slightly taller than the 2x4. I forgot to measure, but if the 2x4 is 3-1/2, the bracket must be 3-3/4 inches, so the 2x4 doesnt quite make contact with the bottom of the guard rail. That means I have to jump on the miter saw to trim 1/4 off of half of my brackets. No big deal, but if I was the designer of this bracket Id be kicking myself for that oversight. This is only an issue though if youre screwing from the top down through the guard rail into the 2x4 like I am. Check out the prototype I made in the photos. The end result is going to be a pretty beefy guard rail. By the way, the pink spindles are fiberglass rebar (called pinkbar, or FIBERGLASS REINFORCED POLYMER REBAR FRP Rebar) sold at the home improvement store. It comes in 10 lengths which is perfect for my 24 spindles. The cost works out to $1.36 per spindle. It can be cut with a wood saw and painted, is cheaper than steel, wont rust, is lightweight, and is sturdy enough for this application. If you kick it, it will give then bend back into shape. Ive kicked it pretty hard and it has not snapped. I cut it with a rebar cutter and that was a mistake because it crushed and splintered on me. As for spindles, the last thing I want to see after all this work is pressure treated wood spindles warping all over the place. The other negative with these brackets (and its a small one), is that the bracket creates a gap between the butt end of the 2x and the post. So if that bothers you, youll need to notch every 2x for a tight fit. Other than that, Im sold on these brackets. They look really cool and create a solid connection.

Im in the process of updating our front porch. I figured the 20 pack would be enough but I only counted the top rail - learn from my mistake... These are a hard plastic. I think youd strip the wood before you cracked one of these mounting the screw. They make it very easy to install the rails vs trying to toenail which is a bad look anyway. I tried different pieces of scrap wood. Some need to be trimmed, others may require a little caulking but thats the nature of lumber... I may paint them but it will be best before mounting them. Overall, will make my job easier.
