Graco-Sharpe 288878 HVLP FX3000 Paint Spray Gun, 1.0 mm

I bought this gun from a local auto paint store. In fact, I paid more than if I had purchased it from Amazon. It is a fantastic spray gun. It makes my paint work look far better than my experience and capabilities suggest. I have used it on three airplanes with professional results. I have also painted candy and clear with this gun. The fan is fantastic and the trigger allows one to lay down a mist coat or more, very controllable. I use 3M disposable cups because my first job was to paint the belly of an airplane. These cups allow you to spray in any position and make complete clean up a 5 min (literally) affair. I am totally satisfied with this paint gun. Highly recommend.

It was my first time doing auto painting with an actual spray paint gun. I was using a $100 (6-gallon) DeWalt air compressor that might have been a little small because my gun air pressure kept dropping below 30psi. Surprisingly this gun still did a great job. I had my gun set to 30psi but I suspect higher psi might yield even better results. Wear a high quality spray paint mask and make sure to tighten it as much as possible. The paint store warned me that the clear coat is highly toxic for your lungs.
