I was disappointed when I saw the size of these magnets until I stuck one to some steel, they are powerful for their size. Be sure not to stick 2 of them together because they are not easy to separate. No sure they would hold 35 lbs unless it was perfect conditions but they have held everything I need them to hold so far.

but seem to slide on a vertical surface at less than 11 lbs

These little magnets have a LOT of super power. Just make sure you are careful when removing them because if they get attached to each other you will need pliers to get them apart. They have a great simple and stylish look with a ton of holding power!

These are great. SUPER strong magnet. I bought them because they fit perfectly over the magnet at the end of my olight flashlights and I can use them to hang the flashlights anywhere.

Like the strength of this tiny magnet hook, just wish the hook were a little larger.

They are strong but much smaller than they appear in the picture. Like a half inch base. Description does not include dimensions.

These magnets are beasts. We haven’t tested them up to 35 lbs., but I will believe it. Watch your fingers when placing them. :-) Very happy with the purchase (this is actually our third time buying).

This is one of the best purchases I made over the past year. I have used these hooks for every occasion. Be very careful not to get them close to other hooks, so string and hard to get back apart. You will not have to worry about hanging items, these hooks stay put.
