Wired lights in my 14’ aluminum (I know 14 Ga. is standard for marine applications, but all of my lights are low voltage LED. I used heat shrink butt connectors, and the plastic held up fine as long as I kept the heat gun back far enough.

Trash, I didnt realize it was CCA (copper clad aluminum) at the time i purchased. Every time ive used it, it goes bad with after 6 months to a year with random opens in the wire throughout and the wire literally turns to dust at the ends after about 2 months.

Works good for wiring speakers and powering led lights.

Perfect for my application

Copper clad aluminum wire is significantly cheaper than pure copper, and for good reason, its got some different properties with regards to resistance and the like. I had a reason to use 16ga wire for a 12v application and this was a much less expensive version of wiring than pure copper.

I used it to power fog lights and with in 6 months, the wiring disintegrated. Buy real copper for real automotive wiring! Lesson learned. Now I have to rewire it all again.

This is good quality wire, had no issues using it. Thick insulation and copper conductor. The colors are great for wiring jobs where you want some sort of ability to identify which wire is which.
