It is gauge as advertised and is copper. Solders well.

Great wire for fair price. Strong outer sheathing.

This wire has a good jacket and appear to be pure copper. Most of the other wire I could find in this price range was copper coated aluminum. For use that will be exposed to the elements, you should never use aluminum wire. I am very pleased with this wire.
