Great thread

Very smooth, my machines like it. The color is a true white, not the mottled blue in the photo.

Gutermann is my go-to thread. Its great for sewing, quilting, bag making. All around my favorite thread.

While this thread is more expensive than what you might pay by purchasing from your local craft and fabric store, you cant beat the convenience of same day shipping! I used this thread for a dress with a little bit of stretch in it, and despite the tension, did not experience any breaking. The thread is strong and does not fray easily. The larger spool still comfortably fit onto my standard Singer machine without issue (I was nervous it might be too large), and I loved not having to replace the thread after a few projects. No issues with machine jamming or thread breaking. Im pretty happy!

Im thrilled to have discovered this thread. By far the best ive ever used.

but when it came in the mail it arrived with another spool of a different brand that i ordered. This spool which is white was rolling around in the box, the other spool which was black was in its own little plastic bag. the white spool was all dirty on the outside, i tried to dust it off but it didnt work. the black spool was very clean and what i expected (being in a bag and all). I was disappointed in the white spool because i intended to use it with my new machine and i wasnt sure how the little bit of dirt would effect it. not to mention i dont know what kind of dirt it is and i wanted to make kids clothes with it. I just made a bobbin and tossed it out, but with expensive thread that is not ideal. I just didnt have time to send it back and see what happened. i probably could have made my project then washed it, but i would have been taking a chance that the thread was stained and didnt want to take the chance of having to start over.

Gutermann thread is the best! I love that it is lightweight, yet durable and reliable. I always try to buy Gutermann when I can, and this was a great price for how much thread I got. I made a queen-sized quilt exclusively with this thread, and never had any problems.

Just what I was looking for. As others have said this thread is solid white and not like the picture that shows some purple variation. This is my favorite thread!

The thread doesn’t seem to be sturdy Enough for my liking, i hand sew and this just wasn’t cutting it, when i would cut the thread it would constantly split and unravel witch was frustrating no matter what pair of good scissors i own.

Delivered quickly. Great product for the price and durability is the best. Good value and glad I could get it thru Amazon.
