I didnt think I needed this tool for applying machine appliques for various projects, but got one anyway in order to protect my iron and pressing surface. I do a good number of machine appliques for various projects and with products changing, one cannot be too careful with applying heat to items using fusibles. Using this tool, if you are using a glue gun, will cause the glue to flake away...easy peasy! This size seems to work with a majority of projects. Glad I purchased one.

This is the perfect mat for appliqués. I needed a see thru mat. This helps me see the placement guides.

Not to pleased with light! The light turns off when you touch the board with your hand or arm, frequently!

This was a game changer for appliqué. There is an adhesion to the mat that holds on to the pieces while I move it to the ironing board. I liked it so much I got another size.

This worked fabulous on a large appliqué project I made for a quilt along with using it for a Laura Heine Collage class, So happy I had it! It even cleaned up after using iron on pellon for an appliqué quilt. Love it
