I very rarely write low reviews on things unless I find that the item is photographed deceptively or that there is a big issue with the item itself. In this case, both happened. The legs in the photographs show that they are pretty much straight up and down, without a big angle out like some others. However the actual legs that arrived easily angle out by 4 to 5 inches. In addition, the legs are extremely heavy, and that doesnt work for certain applications. Heres why... I have a modular desk setup that is L-shaped or U-shaped depending on how I put it together, and I need the pieces to sit up against each other, which is why I was looking for legs that are straight up and down. I like the fact that these are heavy duty because I have some heavy equipment that goes on my desk and I do a lot of manual hard work on my desk that needs heavy duty legs. When I installed these, not only were they very hard to install with one person because they leaned so far out and they are so heavy, but they are too heavy for anything but a solid piece of wood. So if your desk is a modular desk that they have sold in the last 15 years that is not solid wood, these will not work for you. They are way too heavy for the modular hollow core desks. The installation of the angled legs caused the desks to literally Bambi on ice out onto the floor, ripping out both of the bottoms of my desks. They also are so angled out that the desks dont fit together because the legs obviously block each other, and they also keep the desks from sitting up against the walls by several inches. I do woodworking by trade, so I can fix my desks, but its just more added expense. The good news is, they are exceptionally heavy duty. They are very heavy. Very very heavy. If you have a solid piece of wood that you need to put heavy duty legs under and you dont care that the legs extend out past the desktop by several inches on either side, these are the legs for you. Just have two people to install them, because its very hard to hold them in place, hold the little screws, and try to use the drill with only two hands while the legs try to topple over.

We have lots of crates and I decided we needed to actually use them. These are perfect, lots of different heights to chose from so depending on what you are using it for it is always the right height.

They are pretty sturdy and did the job I need it to do. It came out better than I expected and the legs are holding very well.

Worked great to create a table to go over a radiator. Easy to install. I saved quite a bit doing this myself.
