The reason its louder than most is because it is faster than most but also ducted differently. I knew this was loud before I bought it and my hunch was correct. Its because it has the most airflow of any handheld fan on the market. This fan also blows from farther away more than anybother on the market this size . On 1st and second speed it is OK for office environment , at 3rd speed it steps up motor and air noise but nit ridiculous, 4th and 5th speed anybody around you will notice and then become probably impressed by it rather than annoyed. One thing thats for sure is that the air that flows from it is substantially cooler than a standard fan . Obviously any fan is only blowing the same temp air as whats around it , but the way it concentrates the flow makes the air seem and feel a lot cooler than it is .. So , best handheld on market , there is no other better at this time. Also I ordered it after midnight and it got here 10 hours later .

This fan is great! It had more than 3 different speeds (I think 5?) and it blows pretty good air! I’ve used it multiple times in the bathroom after showers and on my desk. Keeps me cool and the fan is powerful. The wristlet thing they give you is hard to thread through. That’s really my only complaint. That and that it can get a bit loud but nothing too crazy. Other than that It can stand up no problem, and is a very powerful fan. I’ve only been using it for a few days now so if anything changes, I’ll update this review.

It helped so much for my recent trip to Singapore which is very humid. This fan was a life saver, the 5 speeds and the battery life are the best.

This is a great handheld fan which has been really useful during the hot summer months. On the lowest power setting it’s very quiet and provides a discrete steady gentle breeze, moving up the settings will of course increase the strength (great for dealing with hot flushes) and noise level will increase too but it’s a very powerful fan with good battery life. I highly recommend this product.
