> 3 dayI love wooden toys for kids - the more imagination, the better! This toy is well-constructed and tons of fun to pull along behind. I paired it with Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile as a gift for a friends child, and it was a great hit!

> 3 daySo cute. However the string is shorter than would work for my Grandson. Hes 16months old. He still needs time to get the hang of it.

> 3 dayI have ended up with both the Plan Toys Dancing Alligator pull toy AND the Hape Walk Along Croc so I am here to give a comparison. I will start by saying that I have purchased several wooden toys from both companies for my son. I could not choose a favorite toy company between the two, as both my son and I love both. Here is how we break the two down: 1. Appearance: Both toys are absolutely adorable. The Hape Crocs head is painted on a single piece of wood, while the Plan Toys Alligators head is made from a couple of pieces of wood and the mouth opens and closes and only the eyes are painted. They are both a similar green color, though the Hape is a little brighter/yellowy (though not as bright as the photo shows). If you have other Hape products, the green is one they commonly use as in their Country Critters Activity Cube or Little Dump Truck. Additionally, the Hape has less green and more natural wood showing, which could be a plus or minus for some. The Hape also has little claws painted on the orange wheels, while the Plan Toys has yellow wheels with no feet painted on. I dont love that Hape stamped their logo on the tail, making it fairly prominent. They both have pull strings, the Hape Crocs is green, and the Plan Toys Alligator is a natural light brown. The Hape pull string is about 3-4 inches longer, while the Plan Toys pull string is a bit thicker. The Hape Croc is also slightly longer by about 2 inches. In this category, I feel that the Plan Toys Alligator wins for looks because the head is more interesting without the paint and the color is warmer. 2. Function: When pulled, the Plan Toys Alligator moves forward and backwards. Basically, the back wheels move closer to the front wheels and then they move further away. The Hape Croc has a more side to side motion where the back wheels wiggle from side to side. I find the Plan Toys Alligator to be much louder than the Hape Croc. Enough so that I find it a bit annoying after a while. The Hape Croc still makes some noise, but not nearly as much. They both have rubber on all wheels, which I believe provides traction for their special movements. Overall, the winner in this category is the Hape Croc because it is quieter and has a smoother movement. 3. Fun: My son loves both equally and we enjoy switching them out. I do think I will use the Plan Toys as an outdoor toy and the Hape can stay inside due to the noise. Overall, if I were to only have one, I would select the Hape Croc. Now, I dont think you can go wrong with either, this is just my preference. I also just find the wiggly side to side motion of the Croc to be crazy adorable, while the other I find more novel.
