Took 30 minutes to set up. I have 2 lamps on one plug and a Amazon plug for third lamp all in my living room. I have to say two different commands to put on the 3 lamps. Makes no sense. May send back the HBN smart plug. I wish Amazon had a plug for three lamps. Ugh. 4/16/23: I figured how to have all 3 lamps on the one plug. I just say Alexa turn on living light and all lamps go on at the same time n same as off. Update:4/30/23: My lights go out for no reason and I have to repeat myself to turn it on. This item seems to be junk.

Easy to use interface - that was most important to me. Using them daily

I love how easy these are to set up. I purchased some from another company and I have to struggle to get the app to find those. I ended up replacing them all with these. I like having two separate plugs. There are some that are set up with one plug on a timer (lamp, wax melter, etc) with the other one always on. When I bought a new router it took me 5 minutes to reset them. Most of that time was getting around furniture to the plug. I havent had any issues if the power goes out. they just automatically reconnect. I havent figured out how to connect to my Alexa, but it works fine with the app on my phone. Plus, this way I can turn the lights on and off no matter where I am so it looks like Im home. Definitely worth the money.

These might be the least complicated smart switches I have ever set up, and they work great. I bought them to control my indoor Christmas lighting, and they work amazing.

We liked this smart plug so much we purchased two of them. For now we use them for holiday decorations. We love that there are two plugs.

Pay attention because it only connects to 2.4 which can be a pain, but it does work as advertised

Just what i needed, working from home recently redid my home work desk. got a real desk and put 2 lamps on the corner. was getting cumbersome reaching over to turn them on and off. got this plug and now have it set on a daily timer to automatically turn on and off. setup was a little wonky as others have mentioned. opened the smartlife app which i use with other smart outlets to setup. found it tried to connect got an error, tried to refresh and nothing. But went back to the homepage and there it was and worked flawlessly. not sure if it was the app or the product but its all good now.

but once I watched the video on Amazon [with the product], it wasnt bad. The written directions were not thorough enough. Since it wasnt quick and easy, I procrastinated on setting them up. It was super easy after watching the video and only took me a few minutes to get them all online. They are working beautifully with my Alexa, and I will definitely be purchasing more. I love the ability to name each outlet on the plugs. The routines were really easy to set up. Great value for the money!

Bought two of these for half the price of the Amazon outlets, and they absolutely work great! Yeah you have to download the HBN app and make an account, but once you do, they are easy to pair up and name. Each outlet can be individually named, like Fan or Plant light for example. Once that is done, Alexa will see them and allow you to operate them by voice using the names you gave them. Great buy, seamless integration, highly recommend. Thanks HBN!

I got really frustrated trying to set up these plugs. I intended to connect them to my Alexa, but the initial HBN app connection was so confusing that Im worried the Alexa set up will be just as painful. I was stuck on one of the first steps because it told me to turn the outlet on with the power button. Not sure why it says that because there is no power button!!! My husband had to step in and figured it out for me, and thank goodness for him. (Instead of a power button, you just hold down one of the front arrow buttons while its plugged in until it flashes blue. At that point, the app should detect the outlet and the setup is straightforward from there) Despite the headache, so far I really like these plugs. Believe it or not, but the painful setup wont deter me from buying more smart products made by HBN.
