I dont know how this compares to the cricut brand because I havent tried that but this works perfectly for using it with my cricut press and a regular iron

I havent really used this yet, but the product feels good in your hand. Feels well made, like it will hold up for many uses. Thickness is good so I think it will be good for your heat transfer projects.

I have not used it in the machine because I had to return the machine itself however I have used it just over the table while I was doing a DIY project ... I havent had any problems yet.
