This case is exactly what I was looking for. My last HHD drive failed as a portable hard drive. So I decided to buy a SSD drive as a portable drive and was looking for a good case for transport. This case is cheap and fits almost perfectly for the the drive. The pictures show the close fit and the pocket for the cables. It fits really well with the cables that come with the drive, I dont really need other cables for this drive. The drive is really well protected in the case and the hard shell of the case is perfect for throwing into a backpack or messenger bag and not having to worry about it. Very happy with this combo and would buy it again!

Nice case. A little larger than others on the market but not overly bulky. I bought this and a smaller option. They both work well and protect the drive. If you need a little extra space this is the one.

This case fits my needs perfectly. I havent had any issue with it since I purchased it in September 2019.

What is the point of buying a compact mobile SSD drive if you then put it in an oversized case? Seriously, this is a fine case, but you could easily fit two of the G-Drive Mobile SSDs in here, still have room for cables, and it would still be too long and too wide. Functionally, it is a fine case, but they should reduce all dimensions by 20%. This is not a case custom designed for this drive. Its a small case that people started using, so now its marketed as a G-Drive case. Keep looking if you want a small case for your small drive.

Drive works wonders and automatically creates a backup for my Macbook.

Probably the best case for such hard drives

Nice case. Quality is good. Unfortunately, it’s too narrow to hold my G-Technology G Drive 2GB Mobile USB-C HDD. I ordered the case specifically because the description includes the statement that the case fits a G Drive 2GB mobile HDD. That statement may or may not be true, but I can confirm it definitely DOES NOT fit the USB-C version of the drive. I think I can use it for something else, but I wouldn’t have purchased it had I known the lack of compatibility up front.
