Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

This backpack is pretty huge, my 16-month-old toddler crawled into it and made me carry him around. He wears a 4T haha! That being said, it is very sturdy and fashionable. So glad I bought this backpack! I foresee many semesters of college using this. Only downside is the canvas fabric collects a lot of cat hair (story of my life) but I dont really care cause everything I own is covered in cat hair. Also the inside is pink, luckily I am a girl (although I am not partial to pink) but if youre a guy this might deter you from purchasing. (real men wear pink tho, amiright?) Buy this bag and you wont regret it! Comfy cushions on the back and straps. The leather straps do not actually connect though, which was weird, they are secured by magnets. Will update later for quality reporting...

I love these bags. They function well for the most part and hold up over the years. That said, I’m due for a new one, and they all seem to be out of stock. I reached out to the company to find out when they might get more of the Raven Crosshatch/Vapor Crosshatch/Tan bags in, because thats the one I really want. They told me it was a limited edition for Amazon and they won’t make it again. Kinda drives me nuts because I subscribe to their newsletter but they don’t tell me if they’re making a new bag for Amazon if Zappos. Then these gems sell out before I find them. Such a disappointment. I wish the company would bring back designs, or leave them active longer or at least do a better job getting the word out.

This is by far my favorite backpack ever (and Ive had a few). I am a law student, but I also work full-time. The option is to either 1) get a traditional back-pack, which makes you feel like you are in high school, or 2) resort to a more professional bag that tends to be less comfortable or hold less items. But with Hersherls Little America Mid Volume bag, I get the comfort and ability to carry lots of items, without compromising my professional look. I CONSTANTLY receive compliments on this bag. The interior laptop section is lined with faux fur material that provides extra protection for your most expensive items. The bag also expands quite large to hold heavy books. There is a pocket to place your cellphone and string headphones through, but I am constantly looking at it that I use that space to place a travel-sized deodorant. In the other small pocket on the inside of the big pouch, I am able to fit a small bottle of tylenol in case I am not feeling well. The front of the bag has a another pocket which nicely fits my pencils, pens, highlighters, and any other small things you might need. The drawstring features cinches everything up nicely so that you feel secure, and then you lock it with the magentic clasps. I live in a big city and ride a metro system, so knowing my belongings are secure is of great importance. Especially, since the bag is on my back, you would feel if someone was trying to get into your bag. And the straps are nicely cushioned and really help to take the weight off of your shoulders and back. I am quite petite - 52 - and this bag is not overwhelming, but holds everything you would need. I was nervous whether the mid-size would be big enough, but I am glad I went with it. Ive had this bag for well over a year now and it looks just as good as when I bought it. It has held up very well to the throwing on the floor, sliding across tables, etc. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this product to friend, family, or anyone else. It was worth every penny!!

I’m a pre-law college student who doesn’t like online books. Needless to say, I carry a lot of books with me for at least a 15 minute walk to campus. This bag has amazing support and weight distribution. Sometimes I second guess myself as to whether I actually packed a book or not, because it just feels so light. I live in the rainiest/ snowiest city ever and despite all that, my stuff has remained perfectly dry. With that being said, I do really wish that there was just one side pocket for a water bottle or umbrella, and maybe just one more compartment on the inside. However, the comfort of the bag outweighs these and I’ve adjusted to just packing everything in my bag. Awesome bag, love it!!

Love the way this backpack looks. This was the very reason why I ordered it, however I did like that it held my 13 macbook air very well. Not a lot of storage but enough to put pencils, note pads, and pens. There is also a cubby for your MP3 player...HINT: iPhone will not fit into this pocket so you are out of luck there... Also, maybe I got a sloppily made one but certain stitch work is frayed but easy to cut/fix. Not to mention the leather on one of the straps was not cut very cleanly which bothered me a lot at first, but I got over it seeing that the backpack will see its wear in years to come! All in all, an amazing backpack, it has a ton of general space inside and holds my giant music folders as I am a Music Educator so that makes transporting material very easy! A must for all suave and fancy college students whom are willing to pay around $90 for this beauty!

It seems to not have a good grip and continuously slides off of my shoulder when I have a jacket or coat on if I only have it on one shoulder. The space and size is perfect.

I love this backpack, I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. I need a new backpack because the one I was using previously put too much strain on my neck, back, and shoulders. As a student, I have to carry a lot of gear: multiple full binders, planner, notebooks, folders, laptop, supplies, etc. What I love about this bag is it is a little smaller than my last bag so it helps me only carry the essentials, but it still fits a lot. Also even when the bag is completely loaded up it feels comfortable on my back. The weight stays close to your back and is evenly distributed so it’s easier to walk long distances with a full bag. The padding on the back is the best I’ve ever had on a backpack and it’s one of my favorite features. I highly recommend this bag for it’s comfort and functionality. I would definitely purchase another one if needed, this bag is super sturdy. **For sizing reference I purchased the 25L. My last bag was 34L. Even with the difference in size my Herschel fits everything I need plus some. Also fit and height wise, I’m 5’11” and this bag sits from the top of my hips/ lower back to my shoulders. It’s a taller bag but the height helps a lot with pack weight distribution.

I bought this for a work trip that required me to travel but only have my carry on luggage for the plane ride. This backpack worked great as the second piece your allowed to bring with you onto the plane, and it fits perfectly underneath the seat in front you! Its definitely made for carrying a lot of things, which I did, but it never really feels heavy. I am a small person, and it probably looked big on me but it never hurt my back. The shoulder/arm straps are comfortable and padded, and the inside has a spot specifically for a 13 laptop computer. While the rest of the space is huge and can fit a enormous amount of anything else you could think to carry. The smaller front pocket on the outside of the bag zips shut and has a flap that comes over the top so anything in there is protected, and it is a relatively large pocket; I fit two iPhones, and phone chargers with plenty of room to spare (for small items). I only wish I could have known this backpack existed while I was in undergrad carrying 6 large textbooks, my laptop or notebook to classes everyday. I would recommend this product to everyone. It is sturdy and I suspect it will last a long time.

I purchased this backpack for college. I wanted a backpack different from every other backpack I had purchased before to carry around campus and ever since I saw the Herschel backpacks, I was really amazed by their style. I tried at a store the regular-sized Little America backpack with its 19.5 (H) x 11.25 (W) x 7(D) 25L dimensions and it was too big for my liking. The size of this Mid Volume backpack is perfect with its 16 (H) x 10.75 (W) x 5 (D), 17L dimensions. My 13 MacBook Air fits perfectly(see photo) and even with room to spare. The interior design(see photo) is made of an eye-catching design with red and white stripes that really gives an original touch to the bag. The laptop pocket of the bag is made of a fabric that feels like soft, delicate velvet, really pleasant to touch. The front design with the brown straps look good and the magnetic strap closure is very strong and high quality. The front pocket which has a zipper is very useful and I use it to put school supplies and all kinds of tiny stuff. Additionally, the padding on the back is very good and makes the backpack rest comfortably around my shoulders while I carry it. The only reason Im giving it four stars is because the straps on the back are too short so they kinda make your chest be tight when you carry the backpack around.

I’ve been using this bag for two years. My job involves a lot of walking and I transport materials in this bag. Also personally, I tend to treat my belongings roughly. It is still in great condition without so much as a tear. It also looks great and has a ton of space. Highly recommended.
