Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

This is by far my favorite backpack ever (and Ive had a few). I am a law student, but I also work full-time. The option is to either 1) get a traditional back-pack, which makes you feel like you are in high school, or 2) resort to a more professional bag that tends to be less comfortable or hold less items. But with Hersherls Little America Mid Volume bag, I get the comfort and ability to carry lots of items, without compromising my professional look. I CONSTANTLY receive compliments on this bag. The interior laptop section is lined with faux fur material that provides extra protection for your most expensive items. The bag also expands quite large to hold heavy books. There is a pocket to place your cellphone and string headphones through, but I am constantly looking at it that I use that space to place a travel-sized deodorant. In the other small pocket on the inside of the big pouch, I am able to fit a small bottle of tylenol in case I am not feeling well. The front of the bag has a another pocket which nicely fits my pencils, pens, highlighters, and any other small things you might need. The drawstring features cinches everything up nicely so that you feel secure, and then you lock it with the magentic clasps. I live in a big city and ride a metro system, so knowing my belongings are secure is of great importance. Especially, since the bag is on my back, you would feel if someone was trying to get into your bag. And the straps are nicely cushioned and really help to take the weight off of your shoulders and back. I am quite petite - 52 - and this bag is not overwhelming, but holds everything you would need. I was nervous whether the mid-size would be big enough, but I am glad I went with it. Ive had this bag for well over a year now and it looks just as good as when I bought it. It has held up very well to the throwing on the floor, sliding across tables, etc. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this product to friend, family, or anyone else. It was worth every penny!!

It is a well-built backpack because it has now lasted for me for about three years. However, there are a few issues. I have owned much more comfortable backpacks, and the lack of a water bottle compartment makes it hard to carry a water bottle. The backpack is also not waterproof so it is not the best for the rain. The leather on the buckle has started to crack and look ugly.

I am obsessed!!! I started researching what backpacks would be best for law school & Legal Eagle on YouTube recommend this backpack. Let me just say, ITS AMAZING. You just feel the good quality. The back is made of a thick material, the black straps are nicely done, the laptop sleeve is so soft so your laptop is safe from scratches & the inside is spacious. You can feel & see the quality of it!! I continue to get compliments on it. I’ve taken it on flights & it never once hurt my back, the padding on the straps make it so comfortable. It also rained today & it held up great. It didn’t feel wet at all, I didn’t know this but a friend mentioned that it was water resistant, which gives me more of a reason to love it. Don’t let the price scare you, the quality IS WORTH IT!!!!

Great Backpack! Really durable material and the laptop slot feels very soft and cushioned. I keep my laptop in an AmazonBasics sleeve I got for it for extra protection. I was hesitant at first because I wasnt sure about the size and people had mixed reviews about it but after getting it I saw it was the perfect size. Im 56 so it fits the length of my back perfectly. In terms of functionality its a great back pack as its made of really sturdy material and the inside is well stitched and the cushioning on the back is awesome especially for a student like me who spends a lot of time at school. The price is a little steep but Im willing to spend more for quality than spend less for a cheaper product. I always wondered why people loved Herschel so much but now I know! I even got a wallet to boot so if you are a fan of Herschel check out their wallets!

I bought this for a work trip that required me to travel but only have my carry on luggage for the plane ride. This backpack worked great as the second piece your allowed to bring with you onto the plane, and it fits perfectly underneath the seat in front you! Its definitely made for carrying a lot of things, which I did, but it never really feels heavy. I am a small person, and it probably looked big on me but it never hurt my back. The shoulder/arm straps are comfortable and padded, and the inside has a spot specifically for a 13 laptop computer. While the rest of the space is huge and can fit a enormous amount of anything else you could think to carry. The smaller front pocket on the outside of the bag zips shut and has a flap that comes over the top so anything in there is protected, and it is a relatively large pocket; I fit two iPhones, and phone chargers with plenty of room to spare (for small items). I only wish I could have known this backpack existed while I was in undergrad carrying 6 large textbooks, my laptop or notebook to classes everyday. I would recommend this product to everyone. It is sturdy and I suspect it will last a long time.

I often get asked about my adventures through the wilderness while wearing my backpack. To the outside world, I appear to be a cunning survivalist capable of enduring natures harshest conditions. In reality, Im just a 22-year-old college girl who needed something sturdier after my super cute, sequin-bedazzled backpack broke under the heavy weight of knowledge. Although the backpack is somewhat large for me, I dont really mind. Im 57 and weigh about 120 pounds and the backpack is not overbearing in any way. I fit my 15 laptop in the bag along with 3 textbooks, 3 notebooks, my laptop charger, my phone charger, and a pretty large-sized clutch. The best things about this backpack, besides having everything I could possibly want in one bag, are the very padded and comfortable back and shoulder straps. It is also nice not looking like a homeless bag lady for a change. I bought the Herschel in black (in order to properly mourn the death of my multi-colored, sequin bedazzled backpack). Although the price was a bit steep for me, I think the quality of the bag is worth the cost. I expect this bag to last me for a few years, if not several. If you are considering buying this bag, you should just do it. If you dont like it, you can return it. If you do like it, you can wear it around and liken yourself to Christopher McCandless.

I bought this bag originally for an upcoming music festival, but I started using it to ferry home packages I send to my office…and have since stopped using my regular bag for work stuff. Actually, at this point, Ive pretty much dumped everything I own into this thing, yet there always still seems to be room for a book and bottle of wine. One time I was stuck in deep Brooklyn too far from the train, so I just slept in it…while I really couldnt stretch out (I still had most of my belongings in there), it was great in a pinch all facts considered. This bag has actually been really great for my social life too…Ive had several parties in it already, and am planning a pre-historic themed pre-party for Governors Ball in June. Given the interior is actually larger than my Manhattan apartment, I would consider living in it too, but its been a nightmare trying to find a plumber wholl rig up the pipes. Only con is that the padding on the back seems to absorb heat and radiate it back…which was great for cooking breakfast on that morning in Brooklyn, but when Im actually carrying stuff, I get back-tongue pretty much instantly.

Bought this backpack to carry lunch and snacks to work. It does almost everything I need it to do. 4 stars just because I feel lit needs more pockets AND the cellphone pocket needs to be adjusted/upgraded to fit the bigger phones. I have the 12pro and it doesn’t even begin to fit in the 2 cellphone pockets. I end up just putting my cash tips in those two pockets

My last backpack lasted 5 years, and it was time to get rid of it. The straps were worn, there was a hole at the bottom, and it was the zippers were getting caught. Got this as a gift from the girlfriend. Buy this if you love getting compliments from friends and strangers. I dont consider myself a hipster, but ill take it as a compliment. There isnt as many compartments i would like, but im just used to my old backpack being that way. Its made laptop friendly, the inner materials feels incredibly soft! Padded back and straps. Very sturdy feel. This Herschel backpack seems large when on the ground, but when you put it on it looks fine. My suggestion is to tighten the brown leather straps all the way. The straps are held by strong magnets, so you dont have to worry about the zipper getting caught. Id recommend getting this in black or the blue one. Slightly, on the expensive side but you wont regret it.

Very nice and durable backpack. I wouldnt necessarily use this as a backpacking bag, but it is great for school and carrying large amounts of things in it. I carried multiple college textbooks, drawing supplies, computer, and computer charger in the main compartment with ease. The padding on the back allows for comfort so your back wont be sore or anything in the backpack wont be hitting your back as you walk. The computer sleeve is very nice as well. Nice material and has padding on the bottom so when you set your bag down, your computer wont be slamming on the ground as well. Overall, great product. I recommend buying it if youre looking for style, comfort, and durability. It is worth the money!
