Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

This company hits the nail on the head when it comes to quality and durability. I only wish other products I buy were made as good as the ones that come from Herschel. You can tell by the feel of the material down to every stitch time and great effort went into making a good product. Love love all of their pieces. Can’t wait to see what comes out next!!

after constantly using this I can tell you that this was a VERY good purchase, even if its close to a hundred dollars. when I first got it I would get compliments on my cool and stylish backpack. I got it mainly because I moved to a city where I would be walking a lot and since I dont have a car I wanted to be able to fit my Groceries and school supplies in one bag without having to hold a lot of it in my hands. it works very very well for that reason. you can fit so much in it its amazing. my laptop is protected inside the case too (also because of the padding for your back, if my it ever falls over from my desk or a high place I dont have to worry because it doesnt get damaged.) Like I said I use this backpack constantly and I walk a lot with it so what I noticed is that because Im in the sun a lot, there is a discoloration in the material (I have a black backpack) that doesnt bother me too much, although it doesnt look as stylish. another thing is that about 6 months in the metal magnet fell off. (you can replace them for cheap so Im not worried about it either) I dont really have use for the smaller pocket but it does look nice. one of the major cons is that because it CAN hold so much you may tend to over fill it, when you do this it because VERY heavy and may hurt your back, it would be nice to have some kind of waist support included. also when you fill it until you can barely fit anything anymore you look like youre about to go camping ( I get asked that A LOT!!!) overall this backpack has lots of room to fill your books but dont get carried away because you will end up hurting yourself.

I LOVE Herschel products, and I needed a new work/ travel bag. This fits soooooo much more than you would think. its very secure with the magnetic closures. its not hard to open but if someone tried to open it while youre wearing it, you would feel it. fits perfectly under an airline seat. also is very comfortable to wear. ive used it for my laptop/ iPad, files, change of clothes, pens/ journal and it all fit perfectly. really glad I picked this one up.

This is both my sons favorite brand as far as backpacks, they’ve only been using this brand for years. The quality is very strong and it is durable and trendy! However this particular one is much heavier than their normal backpacks due to the leather straps and buckled.... my son wanted to try a different look than he typically goes and he liked the buckle look, he regret it soon after putting it on his back with his little bit of school supplies! It was uncomfortable to wear. He walks a bit of a distance from the bus stop and the added weight on his back would only wear him down by the time he gets home... maybe if he didn’t have to carry on his back for long periods of time it would’ve worked out better! We’ve decided to return and just buy the Hershel’s basic style backpack for him. I do recommend this brand as it’s proven itself throughout the many years my sons have been using it, although I would suggest this style since it is heavier.

This is the 2nd bag I have bought. I bought my 1st one about 7 years ago and never realized that the snaps were not right (6 of the 8 were male) which I didnt care and I used this bag through College and it held up nicely even with all the daily weight. I can fit my laptop and a console in the backpack along with multiple days of clothing and it still isnt bulky! I now use the old bag as a day pack when I go hiking. I love this bag and highly recommend. The one I got from Amazon had one of the snaps come detached from the bag after only a day of use. I returned that bag and got a replacement and so far so good with the new bag!

I bought this 9 years ago and still use it all of the time. It’s in excellent condition. The durability is worth every penny. The padded laptop sleeve is still soft and sturdy even after throwing it in the washing machine a few times. A friend even borrowed it for a hiking trip after I used it in college for years. It’s definitely got a lot of miles on it and has held up incredibly.

Bigger than expected but high quality and comfortable. Looks great too!

It’s a good backpack, haven’t had it for long to be able to comment on durability, but I have used it as “personal item/laptop bag” for international traveling and got no complaints for its size by airline companies (big relief on that matter...). It is narrow, but has depth that allows you to fit a lot of stuff if you stack them upon each other. Color was just like photo, and it seems to be authentic (tags etc were as expected). Great buy, if you think it’s 30$ less than what priced on Herschel website.

Im not totally satisfied with this bag. It is about 6 inches too tall for me. The height presents a problem in these situations: It doesnt fit in my bike basket and I bought the basket so I didnt have to lug around a backpack while riding. It also falls over unless you lean it up against something. Next- there are really not enough pockets! One for the laptop and two baby ones on the insides...with velcro. Its not ideal, but I guess it gets the job done. Lastly, the pocket in front for me is too small and not organized enough - I wish it had little pockets for pens or smaller things- that is often the problem i run into. I have different sized things and I end up stuffing them in that small pocket because theres not better accessible place for them. I kind of want to return this...The quality is great and it carries a lot, but not in an organized way. This backpack feels like a backpackers pack made for everyday use. Kind of awkward feeling as a commuter, but it is comfy at least, and stylish

When I was first shopping for a Herschel Backpack and had decided I liked the Little America look, I read through multiple reviews that said that the full-size Little America would look too massive on a person my height (55), so I ordered the mid volume instead. That was a big mistake. Im a college student, so I was looking for a backpack to wear around campus that would look nice even if I were wearing a dress and overall nicer clothing. Whenever I wear the typical L.L. Bean, North Face, or IVAR backpack with a dress, I feel rather like a small child whos been dressed by their mom for first grade. So I definitely wanted something that looked a little more adult and sophisticated, but I still needed it to be a size that would accommodate binders, multiple novels or literary textbooks, a pencil case, and my laptop. The mid-volume simply couldnt store all of that. In fact, it couldnt even fit the binder I needed, much less that along with a laptop and books! That aside, the mid-volume also looked terribly odd on a person my height! I felt more childish wearing that than I did wearing the more athletic style backpacks, so it had to go. I returned it and got this full-size Little America instead, and I absolutely love it! It fits everything I need and looks nice with everything I would ever wear to class. Plus the laptop sleeve is lined with this awesome faux fur fleecy material that keeps my Macbook dust-free and safe in the backpack. It has two little side panel pockets on the inside, and I like to stick a pencil case in one and sometimes a granola bar or piece of fruit in the other if Im going to be stuck on campus for a long time. The front pocket has a convenient clip to stick your keychain on, which is super nice if you misplace things as much as I do. Plus it just acts as a nice thing to keep those keys from wandering around in the big pocket of the backpack. One of my favorite things about this pack is how versatile it is, though. Because there arent dividers in the main section of the backpack, aside from the laptop sleeve of course, this school backpack switches to a weekend bag super quickly and easily! Its just as easy to store clothes and such in it as it is books and notepads, which is different from some of the other backpacks Ive had (see first paragraph for example brands). Bottom line: I love this bag. Its just what I needed, and it was such a good use of money.
