Hikelite 18 Hiking Backpack , Aloe Green

The backpack only has 2 pockets plus a little rain fly pocket. Would have been nice to add pockets on the waist belt and maybe extra front pocket too.

Traveled to Australia this past year and the black Lullumon backpack was a sweaty mess. This arrival is welcomed, compact and organized and a mesh set up to keep the pack from being saturated with sweat in high temps. Hiking Tallulah Gorge with this puppy

I had an Osprey daypack for several years before it got stolen. I liked it so much, I decided to replace it with the same thing. Although it is slightly different (the old one had a camel which I never used anyway), I like this new one even better. The best feature is the mesh back which creates an air pocket to reduce sweating; it also has a built-in rainfly. Every other pack I have ever owned or tried on was simply too big for me as I am under 5 tall. This one is perfect and very comfortable.

I returned this backpack in September because it was bigger, and clunkier, than I expected.

So let me first start off by saying that the reason this bag only gets 4 stars is because of the organization. They only give you 3 zippered compartments. The main, the small on on the top maybe large enough for a phone or eye glass case then the one on the bottom for the rain guard if you should even count that. I understand that this is a hiking bag but why not give us a large ziped compartment on the front where we can put some small things or atleast some internal zip pouch that can be used for things like passports.

I bought this pack after reading many reviews. I wanted a pack enough that was big enough for a long hike but also one that did not look ridiculous to bring on a short day hike. When I came across this one I was instantly smitten. It arrived right before I was scheduled to go on a 6 mile hike the next day. The pack was lighweight, it held my snacks for the hike, my wallet, my hydroflask and polaroid camera all in the main compartment. It was nice because there is a small compartment in the front where you can put your sunglasses and its supposed to be antiscratch. I kept my sunglasses on so I did not get to try that feature on. I also kept my hydroflask in the main big compartment even though it fits in the side mesh pocket for watter bottles I just was a bit nervous that my hydroflask would stretch out that mesh part since it was a bit of a tight squeeze. I loved this pack - it was easy to carry, it was a hot day and there was breathability on my back despite the 6 mile hike I was able to feel a nice breeze on my back carrying the pack the entire time. I would definitely recommend. Next is just buying the water reservoir for it! (it does not come with one).

I was looking for a bag to take on walks. I had an ok bag before, but my back would be all sweaty on hot days. It’s amazing how the mesh on the backside of the bag helps with circulating air to my back. It’s easy to adjust the backpack to customize the fit. All the pockets and clips are great. Water bottles stay secure even if the bag is on its side. My one complaint is that the bag does not sit upright (that picture they use is deceptive).

I took this on a 55 mile hike into the Grand Canyon, it was lightweight, love the fact that it has airflow on the back. It was the perfect size for all the long day hikes.
